KIDD shipped a new Ultra Lightweight Barrel Threaded and Capped $on 10/17/to the customerOn 10/24/16, KIDD received a call from the customer stating that after he installed the barrel into the receiver a bullet would not go into the chamber of the barrel Our quality control routine reflects that this problem didn't exist when we shipped the barrel to the customerHowever, we offered to examine the barrel upon its return Upon receiving his barrel on 10/27/16, we emailed him confirming the receipt of his barrel but noted the severe damage to the breech near the chamber of the barrelThere was a letter from the customer inside the returned barrel package stating that he used a "brass drift punch" to remove the barrel from the receiver and it "marred the face of the barrel." The breech of the barrel was concave and marred at/in the chamber of the barrel consistent with the very unusual, and not recommended, way of removing the barrel from the receiver As a result of this action, not only will a bullet not go into the chamber but the breech end of the barrel is completely destroyedDue to our compassion for the customer's situation, KIDD offered $off a new barrel including free shippingThe customer's returned barrel was irrevocably damaged by the customer not KIDD which is why we feel this offer was more than generous The offer still stands for our customer if he would like to reconsider In the customer's complaint to the Revdex.com, the customer makes the argument that since the barrel didn't work anyway, the condition of the returned item should have no bearing on our compensation obligation This is perplexing, as we have no way of knowing what the initial problem was that he was incurring The initial problem could have easily been corrected by our expertise if the damage wasn't done by the "brass drift punch" when the customer uninstalled the barrel For example if an iphone isn't working properly, the best course of action is not to hit it with a hammer and destroy the merchandiseIt is best to keep it in "like new" condition so that the item can be properly examined

The customer's damaged barrel will be shipped back to him today and tracking information will be provided via email The customer's offer to send us pictures of other barrels removed in this unconventional manner doesn't have any bearing on the damage done to his KIDD barrel We continue our discount offer to the customer on another barrel purchase

I am rejecting this response because: Barrel was installed with no damage and did not function properly, when receivedI have used the same removal method on two other barrels with no damage to the barrelsHad barrel functioned properly when received I would not have had to remove barrelI can upload pictures of the two barrels I have removed if needed.

Customer initially contacted us with his rust issue and we provided him a return label for the barrelOn Oct 3rd we received the barrel and it appeared to have had a liquid substance splashed/sprayed on a portion of the barrel causing that area to rustWe advised him of proper storing/cleaning
techniquesHe agreed to have the barrel refinished for a charge of $The barrel was refinished but not to our standards so the customer was sent a new barrel on Oct 10th at no cost to the customer

KIDD shipped a new Ultra Lightweight Barrel Threaded and Capped $203 on 10/17/16 to the customer. On 10/24/16, KIDD received a call from the customer stating that after he installed the barrel into the receiver a bullet would not go into the chamber of the barrel.  Our quality control routine...

reflects that this problem didn't exist when we shipped the barrel to the customer. However, we offered to examine the barrel upon its return.  Upon receiving his barrel on 10/27/16, we emailed him confirming the receipt of his barrel but noted the severe damage to the breech near the chamber of the barrel. There was a letter from the customer inside the returned barrel package stating that he used a "brass drift punch" to remove the barrel from the receiver and it "marred the face of the barrel." The breech of the barrel was concave and marred at/in the chamber of the barrel consistent with the very unusual, and not recommended, way of removing the barrel from the receiver.  As a result of this action, not only will a bullet not go into the chamber but the breech end of the barrel is completely destroyed. Due to our compassion for the customer's situation, KIDD offered $50 off a new barrel including free shipping. The customer's returned barrel was irrevocably damaged by the customer not KIDD which is why we feel this offer was more than generous.  The offer still stands for our customer if he would like to reconsider.  In the customer's complaint to the Revdex.com, the customer makes the argument that since the barrel didn't work anyway, the condition of the returned item should have no bearing on our compensation obligation.  This is perplexing, as we have no way of knowing what the initial problem was that he was incurring.  The initial problem could have easily been corrected by our expertise if the damage wasn't done by the "brass drift punch" when the customer uninstalled the barrel.  For example if an iphone isn't working properly, the best course of action is not to hit it with a hammer and destroy the merchandise. It is best to keep it in "like new" condition so that the item can be properly examined.
