I face the unfortunate situation of sending my child off to his father's home (miles away) for the summersMy child's second summer away was spent at this daycareOur court order expresses first and foremost my primary placement and our shared joint custodyHowever, this meant absolutely nothing to this business ownerAfter a very pleasant initial conversation via telephone, she informed me that she was experienced and used to dealing with distant parents in this situationShe assured me that I would be able to call, Skype and check on my child whenever I wanted, and as often as I wantedI told her it wouldn't be often, maybe once or twice a week, for a few minutes to say helloShe assured me this was no problem (I then spoke with my son for less than minutes and we schedule our first call to be at the end of the weekShe said she'd mail brochures that dayThis was the last I heard from herI called at our agreed time, and she told me I was not allowed to speak to my sonI asked why and she made up a story about my court order not allowing any communicationShe then hung up on me, because she had paying customers in front of her, saying she'd call me back later in the dayI waited two weeks before I tried againShe again hung up on me, refusing to schedule a time to speak with meI waited another weekWhen I called, same answerI called back the next day, again hanging up on meFinally, she wrote a letter to the courts stating that I was harassing her and requesting that I not be allowed to ever even visit my sonTo date, I only received an email stating she had attached brochures, only to have nothing attachedI am appalled that a business owner can run a daycare and refuse access to the primary custodianIt makes no sense that the primary custodian to NEVER be allowed to speak with even ask about his or her child at a daycarePlease, be cautious with who you leave your child withUnacceptable behavior on Kid's Clubhouse
