June 28th, 2016 Dear [redacted], This is response to the complaint from [redacted]. Clearly she is upset because...
she had to pay for a day that she contracted for child care. She signed a financial agreement ( like our other parents) that you pay for those days. This is not a new policy,every child care center in the state has the same policy. If we let the parents pay on just the days that the attended , then we would not be able to regulate the laws state requires. We re required to have qualified staff at all times. We are not a drop in center.She SIGNED and read the policy. I pay my staff for the six holidays that we are closed and I have never had any complaints!!! She was upset because she wanted me to "bend" the rules for her.She also complained that we put a note ( That was folded in have so no one could see) that she owed money.However, the only one who can see it is the person who signs them in and out of the center. It was her cousin who picked her children up and she has children enrolled here also!! She was embarrassed because she had not paid her bill. The SIGNED financial agreement that she signed states they pay the child care every week and she had not paid in three weeks!! I am sure that you do not go to the grocery store and not pay for your groceries. We should not have to remind parents to pay for their services that we have provided.With that said, she also signed contract that you have to give a two week notice when you take your children out of the center. She sent a email that said they would not be returning. She also did not pay for that Monday that she was upset about. Her balance is now with the late fees is $270.00. When someone signs a contract this is a binding agreement that she will follow the financial policies that we have in place. Once again, these policies have been in place for years and no one has ever complained. They are happy to be in safe and loving facility. Sincerely; Danna M[redacted]Owner
