To whom it may concern:Subject: [redacted] Revdex.com complaint, investigation and actions taken:We have reviewed [redacted] son’s file (re: [redacted]) and found no irregularity with the visit. It is not impossible...
that routine well visits may uncover an issue not related to any specific follow up (including follow up from the time of birth) and enter such finding and plan and/or prescription to the chart. Specifically to [redacted] specific question “If they didn't give him medication to treat these things then why are you charging our insurance and us??” The answer is that a planned and communicated course of action is also a treatment. In this case, the Plan for care was delivered. We apologize for the stress caused to the patient’s parents. This case, while well within the regulatory and ethical boundaries of our industry, will be reviewed for adjustment to the patient’s billing for the purpose of good faith and customer satisfaction. However, this is not an admission of wrong doing and in fact we claim the opposite. Paid for well visits are not a “warrantee” for any medical issue observed and course of action rendered for the life of a patient. It is the legal responsibility of the provider to identify issues and potential issues, address them, and record them. There is no “gray area” there. To that end, these are incremental services provided concurrent to well visits and, they are 1)morally necessary, 2)legally mandatory and 3)justifiably billable.
