Again Kiessling Transit apologizes for the mistake on day one of transportation. Unfortunately, Ms*** is incorrect with her knowledge of state regulations with regards to transportation. Transportation companies are mandated by the Commonwealth of *** to utilize vehicles to the maximum capacity for HST/DDS transportation within a ninety (90) minute time guidelineThere are other forms of transportation within the state that have different guidelines with regards to time but this consumer is transported under HST/DDS guidelines. Additionally, there are no state guidelines that utilize a forty (40) minute window. I have attached and highlighted the state guideline regarding HST/DDS transportation timeframes. This is the system KTI is working under and exactly the service we are tasked to provide. I do not know where the forty (40) minute regulation stated by Ms*** is coming from. That is not a state guideline. Unfortunately, this is probably leading to some of the miss-understanding here. KTI wishes we could be given the opportunity to fix the mistake that occurred on day one (1) but the incorrect understanding of the state guidelines may make this impossibleI hope this is not the case with Ms***. As a transportation company servicing disabled individuals this type or 'error' is unacceptable. Not only was Ms. [redacted] neglected on the first day of transportation, but we continue to experience difficulties with this transportation company. DDS regulations state that an individual can not be on the van for more than 40 minutes, while daily Ms. [redacted] is on the van for at least that amount of time. Phone calls have been made to ensure Ms. [redacted] is the last pick up and the first drop off however the company has continued to fail her.

KTI is truly apologetic for the miss-steps that occurred on the first day of the massive new customer transition that occurs every 5-7 years within the state of [redacted] with regards to HST transportation.  It was very unfortunate that Ms. [redacted]’s trip ran so late.  This was quickly...

rectified within the first couple of days of the new start-up.  With the number of changes that occur within the state system it is inevitable in thousands upon thousands of pieces of data on consumers, phone numbers, addresses, pick-up and drop-off times, new routes, and new drivers that there will be mistakes not only on the first new day of transportation but normally for the first few days of transportation. Again, KTI apologizes completely for the failure on or end to be at 100% on the first day of transportation. That was definitely our goal.  That is always our goal every day.  Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted] was one of the customers that we had an error with on day 1.  Having said this, the problem was quickly rectified once we were made aware. Ms. [redacted] is welcome to call myself on anyone of my staff to discuss.  We always try to provide the friendliest, most competent, safe transportation for all of our customers.  It is sad we failed Ms. [redacted] on the first day of her new transportation.  For that we apologize.
