Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: As mentioned in the original complaintThe site of Kiini does not mention that you should purchase a swimsuit sizes smaller due to stretchingAs I did research it stated to actually buy largerI returned the smaller sizes before wearing them without issueWhen trying to take the issue up with Saks they stated that my tearing was a manufacturing issueThe response that I must have caused the damage is untrueI simply wore the suit on a raft in a pool on the day I wore itFor a $swim suit it is unacceptableAs Rudine mentioned in her email, "KIINI products are pretty delicate and require gentle care, but with the right care you should be able to get years of use out of your KIINI bikini." This is untrue and all I'm asking is that Kiini stand behind their brand as this suit was only worn once and it falling apart Kiini's advertisements on [redacted] are falsely advertising the product if this is true, [redacted] shows the kiini being worn on dogs, playing basketball, parasailing, laying on the beach, yoga, surfing, camel back riding, diving, etcno where is it stated that the Kiini requires delicate useIn comparison however, I did use my Kiini extremely delicately in comparison to their use in advertisements Thank you In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,Please accept this as a response to the Revdex.com customer complaint ID***The dispute over damage to a KIINI bikini was initially sent to our customer service representative on July *, with the initial response returned the same day. First of all, the customer
purchased our product from Saks retailer, not directly from us (***)It is standard industry policy, and KIINI company policy that any of our items purchased from a third party should be returned to them and handled according to their return policyThis is clearly stated on our website as "we do not take responsibility for damaged items purchased through third party retailers or merchandise that is already worn." This and more details regarding our policies can be found here: *** The customer had been denied a return or exchange from Saks and this could have been because they came to the same conclusion we did upon seeing the damaged merchandise. After we requested a photo of the bathing suit in question, our team agreed that this type of damage would have happened from self-inflicted wear + tearThe KIINI bathing suits are designed and tested with the highest standards, but damages can occur to the suits because they are delicate in nature (as it states on our website and hang tags) and as a handmade crochet (knitted) itemJust as a white handbag can be easily stained, the yarn of our suits can pull if they scrape up against a surface that can inflict damageWe also clearly state on the website and care tags that you should "avoid rough surfaces and chlorine;" *** ***'s reference to being on a pool float only adds our belief that she was subjecting the garment to damage through her actionsThough I understand the frustration this can cause for a customer, we cannot be held accountable for replacing every suit that is damaged during wearThe bikini was purchased in perfect condition, and it seems tha t something happened during the course of the day to create damageHad it been a manufacturing issue, I know that we would have seen thread come unraveled in a different wayYou can see from the photo submitted that there is pulling and pinching caused from rough handling of the suitAs for the stretching issue, we provide a sizing chart to guide our customers based on our fit scalePerhaps the bathing suit bottom size selected was size too big and felt as though it was stretched outWhatever the reason, the nature of this complaint is difficult to quantify. We sell hundreds of thousands of suits throughout the world and are sensitive to any customer concerns and do our best to be fair in line with our policiesIt is unfair to be accused of producing a faulty product when it has left our hands and can be subject to all types of wear + tearWe have suggested to other customers as a solution that a tailor can alter a suit that is too big in size, when they felt like a smaller size would have been too smallThis is the suggestion that was made to *** *** as well, because it was clear that the sizing issue or the damage to the thread was not the fault of KIINI manufacturing. Again, our decision not to replace or refund the bathing suit was in line with our policies, the inspection of the suit, and the specifics surrounding this caseKIINI is dedicated to ensuring our customers receive fair and responsive serviceIt's unfortunate that this customer is claiming otherwise. We appreciate your consideration in this matter and hope you will make a decision based on facts and our clear policiesThis should have been a matter resolved directly with *** *** and the retail outlet she directly purchased from. Sincerely,Ipek I***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As mentioned in the original complaint. The site of Kiini does not mention that you should purchase a swimsuit 2 sizes smaller due to stretching. As I did research it stated to actually buy larger. I returned the 2 smaller sizes before wearing them without issue. When trying to take the issue up with Saks they stated that my tearing was a manufacturing issue. The response that I must have caused the damage is untrue. I simply wore the suit on a raft in a pool on the 1 day I wore it. For a $350 swim suit it is unacceptable. As Rudine mentioned in her email, "KIINI products are pretty delicate and require gentle care, but with the right care you should be able to get years of use out of your KIINI bikini." This is untrue and all I'm asking is that Kiini stand behind their brand as this suit was only worn once and it falling apart.  Kiini's advertisements on [redacted] are falsely advertising the product if this is true, [redacted] shows the kiini being worn on dogs, playing basketball, parasailing, laying on the beach, yoga, surfing, camel back riding, diving, etc. no where is it stated that the Kiini requires delicate use. In comparison however, I did use my Kiini extremely delicately in comparison to their use in advertisements.  Thank you.
