The amount of work extra was no way near 1/days extra.I have sent in the original proposal via U S Mail. THe price was actually negotiated down on the phone with Mr K***.He may have measured six feet up but we always wanted it to the ceiling.I feel an extra $is more than sufficient to complete the extra day it took to finish the floor and apply the epoxy.*** * ***

Cleveland, OH 44115   Dear Ms. [redacted],   In response to your letter dated May 30, 2017 (customer's comments) -   Original project discussions did not include tile work to the ceiling. We confirmed the shower wall height was to be approximately 6' in height. Tile work under the cabinets was never an issue. This work was included and done. Epoxy grout was never discussed with me ; it was brought up to my installer during the installation. As previously stated in my May 25th letter, all subfloor repair work materials were supplied by Kilgore Carpet, at no cost to the homeowner.   At the meeting that took place with my installer, myself & the homeowner, we were only shown the floor & wall tile and shower floor mosaic tile. At that meeting the following was confirmed – the concrete wall board & tub base would be set by others ; we were to address the install of a shower soap box/bar only ; metal edge guards would finish off the shower wall tile ; the question of the possibility of utilizing a bullnose finish was discussed – our comment “we can't price this out until we have the product in our hands, and this will be an extra”. The homeowner said they understood this. The plumber was originally to set the tub base and hang the wall board. As this was not done, the homeowner asked us to address this work.   The ADD's to the project as noted in my letter of May 25, 2017 and the above details of this project are 100% correct and true.   Sincerely, KILGORE CARPET CO.     James *. 2017 Our company entered into a Labor Contract with Mr. [redacted] on March 9, 2017 for the amount of $7500.00, for the installation of the owner's purchase of floor and shower wall tile, for their 2'x' floor master bathroom. All our work was completed May 12, 2017. The original scope of work was to install the owner's floor tile, up to the shower floor pan and shower wall tile approximately 6' to 6'6" in height. The finished wall edge was openly discussed to complete with a metal edging and to add a decorative shower bar to the wall tile. All floor & wall setting materials and grout were figured in the project. Also included in our contract was the installation (labor) of a marble threshold, with the threshold purchased by Kilgore to match the tile. Other than our including a cementious flooring backer board for the floor area (for proper tile leveling), no other floor preparation work or wall preparation was included, nor discussed, in our scope of work. The following labor items were ADD's to the project : - Wood patchwork in various areas in the floor (cut open by the plumber). - Intricate cutting and supporting of the flooring, took (2) days - $1190.00 - Owner's decision to install floor tile under the tub basin, and owner's ADD of Epoxy grout on the shower floor (set time) - $315.00 - Owner's ADD of (2) sides, full width of shower - decorative wall tile which had black onyx border pieces and added precision inset cutting, plus the ADD of bulinose tile on each wall side and around shower inset - $795.00 - Owner's desire to install shower tile to ceiling, ADD of approximately IV in height to the project. - $200.00 All of the above ADD's were done based on the labor time required for (2) men and the time required for this work plus, overhead & profit. We did indicate prior to starting the job that we would keep time and advise on any ADD's to the project, once completed. There was no way to confirm a set added cost, as these added changes happened, ongoing into the job. Costs not included in the job — Our purchase of new Marble threshold, precision laser cut and customer' shower base black onyx, also precision laser cut at Kilgore's expense. The cleaning of excess adhesives & installation of owner's concrete wall boards @ the Shower walls (was to be done by others). And finally, all the sub floor screw nails, wood for floor filing and adhesives for the floor repairs & wall cement board (all prior to our tile work). None of these cost expenses were added into the labor adds noted above. The above ADD's took 5 additional days to complete for (2) men. This added work would normally exceed well over $4000.00 in labor. Also, the owner asked an additional favor — to grout an area in his basement. This we did, without cost to the homeowner. This project was a referral from a very good customer.
