Kilter employee slipped & fell through my ceiling. I want a refund and reimbursement for repair costs.
Based on a thorough inspection, I hired Kilter for rat extermination. They arrived 8/23; two very young "technicians". I had opened one attic access to my Office but no one could fit through. I removed about 100 screws & wire mesh on the other access point. When the tech went up into the attic space, he slipped off the beam, fell through the ceiling, came down on a shelf and took out a good part of the wall. He was uninjured but rat feces and 40 yrs of dirt & dust came down through the 10'x4' hold he left in the ceiling. The other tech called his company then told me it would take Kilter between 3 & 11 days to send someone out to fix it. My computer is in this space & I wasn't going to sit there in the dirt and have rats coming in through the holes put there. I called the inspector & explained I had someone to do the job; materials were estimated at $250. He said to go ahead & do whatever was needed. My guy was there Friday night; by Sunday the hole in the ceiling was closed; 1 pc of drywall still had to be installed to finish the wall but the major holes were fixed. Still needed sanding & paint. On Monday, Kilter called & said to stop all work, they were sending someone out. No one came. A week passed & Labor Day Holiday & ***, Br. Mgr finally came out. We went over all areas not covered; attic entry ways still needed closure, vents, air conditioner, pipes under sink, closet areas not inspected. Hole in garage roof not addressed; perimeters were not looked at.
My expenses, not to mention all of the clean-up, having to cage and rehouse my 14 birds, the inconvenience - it's been almost 4 weeks, but all of the repairs will or have cost $***; Kilter removed $*** from my bank account without informing me of the amount or even a courtesy call to pay for their services which were incomplete and had left a huge hole in my ceiling and wall. I want $*** total and the contract to be considered null and void.

We offered to have our contractor come out and fix the damage. When our contractor called to confirm the time he would be out to fix the damage she said do not come out. She later told me someone was in her home and answered her phone and it wasn't her. I offered 600 to *** because that would be the cost for our contractor to fix the damage based on pictures that were sent. I came out to the *** Stambaughs home to look at items she said were not done. I offered to the fixe the few items and she agreed. *** told me Saturdays works best for her so we agreed to come on a Saturday. *** never answered our calls so we could schedule a Saturday to come out and fix the few items that we not done to her satisfaction. Kilter is a reputable company and we want to satisfy all of our customers. We still willing to fixe the few items and give *** a 600 credit for the damage we caused on her ceiling. I have spoke to *** on a few to get this resolved. Again, we want to resolve this issue and will continue to make every attempt possible to solve this problem
