Kim Laundromat Depo

Review: On Sunday July 13,2014 My mother and son visited Kim Laundromat Depo at [redacted] in [redacted], VA off [redacted] at [redacted] to simply dry our clothes. We decided to use the larger dryers because we had a lot to dry. I believe it was the owner ([redacted])that came over to us asking us, "were you planning on using two dryers." We thought to ourselves, why is he asking us that? He then told us on Sundays these large dryers are for regular customers. I spoke up and told him, "we are regular customers." He then said, "I want these machines available for those who are washing clothes and not just drying." My mother spoke up and said, "I don't see any signs that say that." He then spoke up and said this is my business and these are for regular customers for Sundays. We never saw any signs of instructions of service but only signs that tells us how to use the machines. We didn't see him tell any other customers that were using the large machines the same thing he told us like he singled us out. We felt like it was some sort of discrimination there because we were of another nationality because mostly Spanish people use that Laundromat and we never thought it would be a problem to use the services without any problems. We have used this Laundromat before on other days and that same man would always be looking and asking us questions from time to time. If we needed help, we know well enough to go and ask. This needs to be dealt with for others that may want to use his machines. We chose this Laundromat because we shop at B-thrifty next door from time to time and we know the area well. It's our community and we deserve fairness. To add on there are other dryers he has that are medium size, big enough to fit large clothes as well and he has more of those than the larger ones. We had a lot to dry and needed the larger ones so that we can be done and leave.Desired Settlement: For the owner to put up signs for specific instructions on certain days for machine use to customers coming in for only one service. And or make it FAIR for ALL customers to use whatever machines they need, being fair for customers weather their using machines to wash or dry. Regular customers are customers that PAY and use ANY machines for ANY services not limited to those who have washed clothes to be privileged to use larger dryers.
