Kim's Automotive & Towing

My son had his truck towed to Kim's Automotive in February because it kept blowing out a spark plugHe was told it needed to have the heads replaced and entered into a verbal agreement for repairs of $and $for the tow After weeks he called to check the status of the work only to find out they had not even startedWeek after week he called Kim's only to get the runaround and to find out the price had more than doubledAt one point he was told he needed to go to the machine shop, pay for the heads and bring them back to Kim's himselfmonths and $dollars later on April he picked the truck up and was told they were glad to get rid of it, that it was fixed and given a day warranty On April he drove to Millington TnThe check engine light and low coolant lights came on and the temp gage went out of sightWe found the radiator almost completely dry of fluid and the number six spark plug was put in crooked causing it to misfire and was covered by a plug wire that had the end wrapped with electrical tape which had melted..For fear for blowing up the engine we had my mechanic run a diagnostic check only to learn there was exhaust going into the radiator and that there was possibly a blown head gasket! Not once did they touch any of the work previously done by Kim's but commented that things did not appear to have been put back correctly and it looked like "A HOT MESS" After finally getting the owner on the phone he told my son that they would not work on his truck again and I quote "because you bugged me the whole time we had your truck" and because you voided the warranty by having someone else look at the truck..again they did nothing to it but run a diagnostic check and put on new spark plug wires which Kim's should have done in the first placeWhen you shell out that amount of money you expect quality workI would not recommend this shop to fix a flat!
