Kimber Cares Homebound Activity

Kimber couldn't be any better or more professional. She has a sunny, warm, cheerful disposition and exhibits genuine care for her patients, demonstrating a loving patience and compassion. Proactive and prepared, she insures that her charges are stimulated and appropriately challenged. Her training and experience offer great insight to both those suffering dementia and their caregivers. She demonstrates great flexibility in accommodating a caregiver's schedule and does her utmost to maintain continuity of care. She is a ray of sunshine in what can be a dark situation.

Kimber does an amazing job caring for and providing activities for the people that she serves. She takes the time to really get to know the person and tailors her time with them around their interests so that their time together is meaningful and stimulating. She understands the needs of seniors and their caregivers and understands the unique needs of people who are cognitively impaired as well. She also has a cheerful and encouraging attitude that is vital in her role with working with clients and managing her staff.

Kimber Cares is excellent. Kim came and did a great demonstration to our senior church group.. She demonstrated how she and staff relate to clients and how she take past interests and related new things that would help clients deal with what is going on in their life today. She has a heart and compassion for this group of people and it manifest itself in how she interact with seniors. She is patient and allow the clients to be a active participant. As a pastor I can appreciate such a positive attitude that she often pass on to others.

Kimber Cares is great! Kim came out to do a demonstration for the staff at McCoy Adult Day Care where client have dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She showed us how to take past things clients enjoyed or have have been interested in and used that to help clients communicate. She is wonderful and full of energy and so very please to be around. She is really amazing at what she does for seniors!

We have used Kimber Cares for the past five months of 2019. Both ladies they have sent us have been excellent. Caring, concerned, and diligent. Their services came at a very important and "needy" time in our lives. We are very happy with their services and would highly recommend them.

My husband's family and I have found this organization as a whole (and Kimber in particular) to be very professional and sensitive to the diverse needs of both of my in-laws. Kimber's understanding of the inclinations of those with dementia and her desires for both of my in-laws to feel safe and well-cared for served the family so well, particularly when we were in crisis and both sets of needs were so high and different. Her joyful attitude and desires to connect have been especially welcome. Kimber's employees have been pleasant, responsive to requests, and very competent.

What a blessing Kimber has been to my mom and my family! Kimber comes and sits with my mom so I can have a break. She usually comes late in the afternoon on whatever day I need her and she stays 4-5 hours.

Kimber is always prepared with a wide variety of activities tailor-made for my mom to enjoy. Kimber plays balloon volleyball, listens to music my mom enjoys, and they draw, paint and create fun things with stickers and stamps together. Kimber will even take my mom on a walk up and down our street--time and weather permitting. Kimber always brings a picture for my mom to paint and they eat dinner together.

When Kimber leaves, she emails me a detailed list of what activities she did with my mom and at what time, as well as pictures she took of their time together. Kimber is very attentive and caring, and I never have a worry when she's taking care of my mom.

My husband has middle stage Alzheimer's. When we began to search for an outside caregiver, we were referred to Kimber Care. From her very first assignment, Kimberly became a valuable part of our caregiving team. Kimberly came carefully prepared...she had learned my husband's favorite music, his outside interests (so she could ask him questions and engage in good conversation)...though we have a good collection of movies, she told me that she found conversations to be the thing her clients most enjoyed. That was an approach that I really appreciated!
My husband looks forward to days that Kimberly is coming...her cheerful greeting and warm smile always brighten his day.

Our family has nothing but good things to say about Kimberly S and her business Kimber Cares. We have used Kimber Cares in two cases. My Dad was in Home Hospice Care for two months, and Kimber Cares provided carers during the daytime. Each carer had her special gift - some with extensive experience in elder care, including nursing home experience, and others with experience in home health care. They were all compassionate, and provided excellent care both for my father, and for us, as the family around him. After Dad died, my Mom struggled in her grief and loneliness, and Kimber Cares acted as a companion during the times when one of the three children could not be with Mom. Ms. S is enthusiastic about her company, and employs wonderful carers. What was a very hard emotional time for our family was made MUCH easier with Kimber Cares.
