Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below [I'm in awe and dumbfounded by the lies that this business is using to cover up their negligence! How do they they live with themselves, stating such lies-First off, it was a GORGEOUS sunny day on Saturday February 18thBoth the 17th & 18th were so warm that there was significant melting of the snow; There was not 2ft of snow on the ground because of the sunny weather on Friday and Saturday, maybe inches at the timeWhat does the snow on the ground have to do with a faulty saddle? The stable area was extremely muddy due to all the melt as wellAs far as the trail ride goes, #we are STILL waiting for a copy of the waiver we signed-I've asked for it several times since they said they'd no longer pay for our medical billsWe have asked repeatedly for a signed copy of the waiver which we STILL have nor receivedAs far as the trail ride itself, yes both of our daughter's had leads-that is trueHowever, my younger daughter's pony was acting up and misbehaving, so the lead that was covering my daughter LEFT my older daughter unattended to help with the other ponyThere was "no wiggling"-the saddle fell off to the side and she landed on the ground screaming and crying-!!!! I knew she was injured, just not sure to what extent at the timeThe staff said that pony was prone to girthing (holding its breath") and that's why the saddle fell offI've ridden before and if a horse is prone to that, they should check the equipment again to see if its safe, which they didn't which is obvious After she fell, she was screaming! That supposed golf cart that "came to the rescue" is an utter lie!!! It got stuck in the mud when they called for one and they couldn't transport her at all!!!! She was forced to walk on her own about a mile back to the stable in extreme painThey told me and my husband to stay on our horses while they helped her walk a mile back to the stableYes, they did offer us ice and an ambulance, but being we were in the boonies, we opted to drive her to the medical center ourselves (we didn't want to wait)s, which we didWe spent the afternoon in the ER and she was diagnosed with a bad sprain and was in a sling for daysYes, they ruined our vacation because we were supposed to ski the next day and couldn't because she was injured [redacted] doesn't offer refunds, only credits and we lost out on lessons, lifts, ski ski and lift tickets-Their offer for a credit is ridiculousThey know we live hours away and based on our experience, did they think we'd come back? They knew that we wouldn't use itThat said, the farm called us the next week to check on her and they told me at that time that they would cover our loss at [redacted] and for our deductible at the ER because they had liability insuranceTheir office manager said that all they needed was the medical records and our receipt from [redacted] Once they got everything from me, I never heard from them againThey started ignoring my emails until I called and caught the manager off guard That is when she said they would no longer be responsible and offered a ridiculous stable creditAll we want at this point is the money for our ER deductible of $That is the least they can doWe also want a copy of the waiver we signed, which they still refuse to send to usI wonder why? Why can't they apply that stable credit towards our deductible and then some?) Regards, [redacted] *

To whom it may concern,We are very familiar with this person's complaint to usShe and of her family members came to our facility to take a trail ride on February 18, All of our rides are handled extremely safely and on this particular ride, the guide was on a horse and the children on
the ride had side-walkers (that means that someone accompanied them, walking right beside them, holding onto the horse's reigns, which is the steering mechanism for riding a horse)It was a very snowy day, in fact there was approximately feet of snow on the groundThe *** family all signed the Vermont Liability Release and Assumption of Risk agreementAll of the family members received instruction on how to handle their horses and a demonstration and the ride beganThe family booked a standard hour trail rideAbout halfway through the ride, the daughter, wiggled enough in her saddle that the saddle slipped to the side, and she fell off the horse into the snow bankOur staff immediately attended to her, asked her if she was in pain, she said noShe began to cry, and a staff member sat with her and asked her if she thought she could walkShe got up and walked, and she began holding her right hand and said it hurtShe removed her ski jacket on her ownOur staff member looked at her hand, saw no swelling or discoloration or anything out of the ordinaryHowever, her mother immediately began saying "There is something wrong with her, she's never like this." The father replied to the mother that their daughter was fine and nothing was wrong with herA golf cart ride was offered to the children to ride back to the barn; the children and the parents declined. At that point, the ride basically ended; the other child dismounted the horse, however the parents decided to stay on their horses and ride back to the barnThroughout the trip back to the barn, Ms *** was very verbal, and quite loudly kept insisting that there was something wrong with her daughterUpon arrival back at the barn, the child was offered and given an ice pack for her wristThe parents indicated they were going to go to the emergency room to have her checked out.On February 26, 2017, we received an email from Ms *** stating her daughter had been injured, they could not finish their vacation, and they were requesting that we pay her $plus the entire fee that she paid to go to a ski resort in the area during her trip to VermontShe was informed by our staff that we have insurance, and throughout the next few months, correspondence went back and forth regarding medical records, receipts, etcAll of the information provided revealed that the child was not seriously injured, did not need any additional follow up careUltimately, on June 5, correspondence was forwarded to Ms *** advising that there was no intention to harm any person on this trail ride, that she had signed a consent, the weather conditions involved lots of snow on the ground, and that we felt we had no financial responsibility to pay for her and her family's vacationAdditionally, it was determined that there was no significant injury whatsoever to this child, therefore there would seem to be no reason why their vacation was "ruined." The owner did authorize $gift certificate to them as a good will gestureHowever, that was rejected by Ms ***

As far as the trail ride goes, #1 we are STILL waiting for a copy of the waiver we signed-I've asked for it several times since they said they'd no longer pay for our medical bills. We have asked repeatedly for a signed copy of the waiver which we STILL have nor received. As far as the trail ride itself, yes both of our daughter's had leads-that is true. Yes, they ruined our vacation because we were supposed to ski the next day and couldn't because she was injured. [redacted] doesn't offer refunds, only credits and we lost out on lessons, lifts, ski ski and lift tickets-Their offer for a credit is ridiculous. They know we live 6.5 hours away and based on our experience, did they think we'd come back? They knew that we wouldn't use it.
