Purchased a living room group set from Kimbrells first of all they did not have the furniture in stock so they had to order it said it would take 7-10 business days mind you they didn't place the order the same day they took my down payment waited for them to call me about my delivery date and they never did so I called them to find out what the problem was well they finally got my furniture but couldn't deliver it on the day promised so I decided to go pick it up myself I was tired of waiting well when I got there the tables that I had chosen was not apart of the set the saleslady told me they were well they couldn't order the tables because they were no longer in stock so they gave me the tables off the floor which were scratched mind you they did not offer me any kind of discount instead they gave me 3 year old display accessories one of the items has tape on it to hold the photo frame together now for the worst part got the furniture home and starring taking the plastic off of everything just to find water inside of the plastic on the furniture and under the bottom of the chairs they were wet I have videos and pictures as proof called back to the store and was told that they would order me another set give them 7-10 business days I have not heard back from them yet... Do not waste your time Kimbrells is not like it use to be horrible customer service and damaged furniture

I went into the store in West Columbia, SC looking for a stove. They had a stove in their bargain center for $300. I asked if they could guarantee it worked. The response was 'Pretty much. If it doesn't, you have 7 days to bring it back.' I asked if they had an outlet I could use to plug it in. The answer was no. The sales lady was new and she kept going to another woman every time I asked her anything. They need management with customer service skills because they don't have any now. This was my first visit to Kimbrell's and I wouldn't buy anything from this chain based on this experience.

Un fair collection practicesKimbrell's furniture is very unfair and shady in their collection practices. First they called my job and left a message that I owe them with the wrong person. Secondly they did not give me what the balance due. I will admit I have been having trouble making payments because of an [redacted] garnishment and they knew about this. Finally, when get to the point down to making my last two payments and close to paying the debt off they want to come to get the furniture or take me to court after I have been making payments on the furniture for over a year!! I offer to pay the balance off in a couple of weeks, but now they say they can't wait. Why is this? Perhaps because they want to sale the furniture twice this very unfair because they had no problem working with me and making payment arrangements .when my debt balance was over a 1,000.Desired SettlementI just want two weeks to pay my furniture off.

I purchased a 5 piece bedroom suite and mattress on 05/06/2014 and to date it has not been delivered. Poor customer service.I agreed to purchase a 5 piece bedroom suite and mattress set from said store on 5/6/2014. I was told that delivery would be 2-4 weeks; however to date I have not received the product. I have called numerous times and spoken with the salesperson ([redacted] and visited in person to inquire about my order as I never received an order date or shipping date. Each time I called to inquire, the salesman was very dismissive, as if I were bothering him. To add insult to injury, my name is spelled wrong [redacted] instead of [redacted]), which I say each time I call/visit, but it has yet to be corrected. Both my husband and I have spoken with the store manager with no results. On Friday, 5/30/2014, I went into the store to inquire and was told that my complete order was in stock and would be delivered on Monday, 6/2/2014; however when the delivery man came, he only had a mattress pad, which was circled on the invoice. I called to speak with the salesperson and he passed me off to another individual who promised delivery by 5pm. When I called back, the store manager indicated that something "smelled funny" with the mattress, so I would not be receiving my order today. The model #s are as followsXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX[redacted]XXXXXXXXThe total cost including financing is over $3000. I have spent in excess of $10K at Kimbrells since 1997 and with this store since 2003 and this is THE WORST service I have ever received.Desired SettlementI would like to receive a 30% discount on the price of the merchandise and a delayed start date on the payments. The date on the contract indicates 6/15/2014 as initial payment; however since I have not received the merchandise, I do not feel that I should have to pay at that time.Business Response Our customers are made aware that most merchandise has to ordered.The allowance time is 4 to 6 weeks.If there are any problems we contact the customerThe customer purchased a bedroom suit on 05/06/2014 and was delivered on 06/03/2014.The customer was given a statement to sign which I can provide documentation that states it may take up to six weeks for the orderd items to come in.In most cases we do receive items much sooner.The customer was contacted on Monday by the salesperson to reschedule the delivery due to damaged merchandise.(mattress)The customer contacted the Home Office and not the manager with her complaint.Upon notification the manager called the customer to resolve the matter.The customer was given a loaner mattress in order not to compromise her sleeping arrangements.The customer liked the loaner set and decided to keep it.The manager contacted the customer back to make sure she was satified and she said yes. The customer has not contacted the store with anysettlement request.Thank you for your concerns manager

Due to the fact, I feel that I have been wronged in billing and as far as customer service. I have been harassed by the manager [redacted]. I spoke with corporate concerning the matter of overcharges who directed me to the supervisor/district manager concerning the matter. I have bought a 3500 couch and love seat combo and within a year it got infested with bed bugs I called [redacted] to treat and they said it was very strange that the nest was only in the couches ... So I knew Kimberly would give me a good deal of I went back to them after paying off the couches ... And I was trying to assume that maybe someone had brought the bed bugs in ... Then I went back to the location and mentioned the bed bugs which was really embarrassing being a business owner and everyone in my small town knowing me and they acted really rude ... Then I stupidly signed up for a washing machine, twin size mattress set and another couch and love seat that wasn't as expensive as my last because we were only buying them to replace the others... Soon as we got them in I noticed a few bed bugs in both the mattress and the love seat as well as the couch ... Now I really want to be helped the right way if not I will get a lawyer ... I have 3 kids who have been getting bit for over a year now and yalls furniture is the source and I want some kind of justice for my money wasted or some kind of compensations as well as my house treated after all said and done ... Contacted Store within 3 days after receiving sofa to inform them not happy with quality of sofa. Purchased mid December. Its March and they want a paPurchased mid december 2014. Desired Settlementwant to return item and get refund
