I am in a several part process of getting advise and an estimate from a business who will hopefully help me resolve this matter I am most likely looking at a higher repair cost, because first they have to get the snake out that Archer left behindNothing changes the fact that I did not get an estimate before ANY attempted work was doneI will keep you informed on a timely basis.Thank you for your assistance.*** ***

I only take issue with a few of Mrs *** commentsShe called and set the appointment at which time I told her that unless she had something unusual, it was $to snake the lav drain which covered an hour, service call and equipment charge There is no way to look at a sink drain and see
where the clog is or how the pipes are run behind the wall to reassess the price unless you have xray visionShe failed to mention on the phone that the sink had been clogged for a month and they had not been using it. The customer at no time asked me or mentioned that she did not want an electric snake run or I would never have taken the job in the first place . We did use a 6" urinal auger first whcih is hand operated but it only works if the clog is within that rangeWe then used an electric sink auger which we use on ALL lav and tub drains regardless of the age of the house or piping I've been doing this for years, this is the first time weve had a 1/4" cable get stuckThe cable has a drop head which is intended to follow a drop when turning from horizontal to verticalIts possible the clog is up to this point and sent the cable up a vent pipe We have no way of knowing whether we have left the pipe or what the head is hooked onAt this point we told her we could try to force/pull it out of the drain but we didnt know what effects that could have, or cut it and leave it there until the wall was opened upShe elected the latterWe didnt charge her anything We gave her a range to open the wall, remove the cable , repair the pipe and get it flowingAgain, we cant see anything to tell her what needs to be done until the wall is open We are not drywallers so we dont restore walls I told her she could have someone open up the wall at the back of the vanity and we would come look at no charge to see what was going on if we could see the problem from there.Its unfortunate what happened but its an anomoly I think Ive been more than reasonableWe havent bait and switched her or taken advantage in any possible mannerShe has spent $I'm out a cable and man hours but it happens.Regardless of who does the work, the wall will have to be opened or the cable yanked hard.*** ***President Archer Plumbing

I have an ongoing complaint #[redacted] I wanted to update. Where Archer Plumbing came to my home and left behind a snake in my pipe behind a bathroom wall when it got stuck and said they were unable to retrieve it unless they opened the wall at considerable expense (mine). Please see desire outcome below that I was able to come to after considering my options. Thank you.On 12/5, a field supervisor from Roto Rooter came to my residence with camera capabilities to access my situation and said it was possible to inspect with a camera, at my expense of about $360, but he highly recommended that I not allow his or any other business to do that. First, the very real possibility of making a bad situation worse, and enabling the blame to shift from the original perpetrator, Archer Plumbing. His opinion, and one I totally agree with, is that Archer Plumbing got their snake stuck, for a variety of reasons, from perhaps an inexperienced technician, to the wrong sized snake involved, and they should be the ones to get it out, at their expense, not mine.

To Whom it May Concern: We have reviewed Complaint No. 9538807, filed by [redacted] and determined that this complaint is without merit. There are several itemes that are invalid in her complaint, which is incomplete making it difficult to fully undersatnd. First, she did not present the "receipt" for the three shirts she was attempting to return. Second, she was aware of our "14-day" return period policy since she did have a copy our poilcy, which is included with each sale. This fact is evidenced by the fact that she had purchased four (4) t-shirts earlier and returned them in a timely manner. She did receive a full refund on this return as evidenced by the receipts she included in her filing. Moreover, the shirts she tried to return were "specialty event" shirts which generally are not eligible for return under any circumstances. Plus, the time period for returning product was well past the "14-day" return period. Even though, she was out of compliance with our return policy, did not have a receipt for the product being returned, and the "specialty" item she was tyring to return was generally not eligible for return, our Retail Manager did attempt to satisfy her by allowing her an "in-store" credit for the full value ($48.75) of the product she tried to return for cash. This offer was made even though these shirts were already on our "close-out rack" at $5.00 each, since basketball season had ended several weeks prior to the date she was trying to return the shirts. In summary, Kimmel Athletic has always gone "the extra mile" to assure our customers are satisfied with our products and service. Our record with the Revdex.com confirms that we don't have complaints due to poor policies and lack of effort to make sure our customers are always satisfied. I believe our attempt to satisfy Ms. [redacted], even in the worst of circumstances, was more than equitable, but that she just wanted some cash. I believe our offer for "in-store" credit for the full amount of product she was trying to return without a receipt and beyond our return policy period was more than generous under the circumstances.
