Kim's Auto World, Inc.

Review: I have been a customer of Kim’s Auto World Inc. since December of 2013. Since that time I have continually addressed the issue of a major oil leak with [redacted] the owner, and that I believe it might be my valve cover gasket giving me problems. I went to [redacted] numerous times for re- repairs because nothing was ever rite over the last 2 years hoping that he would rectify and repair the problems. On Friday February 13, 2015 as I was driving up I-95 my car started to lose and burn oil rapidly. My girlfriend brought me 2quarts of oil and followed me back to Kim’s Auto World Inc. When I arrived there that morning I informed [redacted] once again that the car is leaking major oil and left it with him to repair. When I called to check on how long the repairs were going to take being I had not heard anything from [redacted] yet he said “I will call you when the car is done”. Three more days had passed and now it is Tuesday morning, so I once again call [redacted] to see if the car has been completed yet. At that time he informed me that it was and that it was $40.00 for the repairs. We arrived at Kim’s Auto World and when I got there my charges went from $40.00 to $61.90 all in the 45 minutes it took me to get there, WHY? When I arrive to pick up my car I asked him why the amount of my bill had changed and he laughed at me and said he didn’t know. Why is he laughing? Why doesn’t he know? Nothing is funny at this point when I have continued to try and get my car repaired with [redacted] for 2 years and I am still having problems which [redacted] should be fixing with no charge under his guarantee, but continues to charge me and take my money. We went outside to my vehicle and opened the hood which we found a paper towel wrapped around the oil cover cap, then I proceed to back my car up and there is oil and coolant leaking out of my vehicle, WHY? You said my car was repaired and ready. When I go back inside to confront him about it he tells me and I quote “I’m not trying to cheat anybody, what you don’t want to pay the bill then don’t pay it”. I ask him to come outside to the car and ask him why there is a paper towel wrapped around my oil cap and once again I quote as he is laughing again “Oh that that’s a test to see where the oil is leaking from” WHAT? Who does that as an oil test and why are you not done testing it when I am here to pick up my vehicle WHY? I proceed to call the police and wait for their arrival. Upon their arrival the officer goes into the office to ask me what the problem is. I tell him that he is trying to charge me for work that was NEVER done to my vehicle it is still leaking and now my brakes don’t feel rite either. The officer tells him and I quote “He does not have to pay you if you want any money from him you will have to take him to court”. The officer then proceeds to inform me that It’s a scam from the minute you walk in the door. I took my car and left and the following day brought it to Winner Auto World where once again it cost me $808.16 to repair my vehicle because of the fact that [redacted] never fixed what he said he did and by allowing me to drive my car off his lot with a major oil leak and a cracked bolt off my valve cover gasket it caused even more problems with my vehicle by the time Winner Auto World got to it which I feel Kim’s Auto World is responsible for. I also feel that he owes me a reimbursement for the work that he has continued to charge me for and never did or failed to fix correctly. I have all my paperwork which will be included. All my receipts since I have been going to Kim’s Auto World Inc. and the receipt from Winner Auto World stating that the work they did is the same work Kim’s Auto World Inc. has been charging me for for the last 2 years and that they replaced a cracked bolt off the valve cover gasket which was the main source and problem causing the oil leak. He is not conducting his business within the guidelines for an automobile business. He does not have his labor laws posted anywhere he does not have his hourly rate that he charges posted anywhere. He does not have a computer system to log in parts ordered or received and how much they are costing and how much it costs to replace the parts. He has insulted me as being someone in the auto industry for 25plus years that I don’t know what I’m talking about, I told him numerous times what was wrong and what needed to be addressed and he continued to overtalk me and disregard my requests to check and fix what I asked him to. I honestly feel that bad business practices are being conducted at Kim’s Auto World Inc. and feel that the Revdex.com should do a full thorough investigation on this establishment.Desired Settlement: As for restitution I would like the Revdex.com to thoroughly investigate my situation and look over my paperwork that is included and determine what monies are owed to me. I feel I am owed a reimbursement for some of the work on the receipts for Kim’s Auto World Inc. whatever is in relation to the problem at hand and I definitely feel Kim’s Auto World Inc. owes me a full reimbursement for the money I had to turn around and spend AGAIN with Winner Auto World because of Kim’s Auto World Inc. negligence in repairing my vehicle on good terms and within the guidelines of his agreement. I would like a cash restitution as I do not trust any other documents from him other than cash.
