Kim's Boot and Shoes Reviews (3)

Kim's is the worst place I've shopped in Columbus Ga. or in any place all over the world. I bought a pair of boots and my son bought a pair, at the same time. Both are Ariat boots.
I originally could not find my boot in women's and the owner pushed the men's pair on me in a smaller size promising me they were exactly the same. I kept saying no I'd rather order the womens's. She kept pushing me towards the men's until I gave in and bought them, repeatedly assuring me they were the same. Later I looked at a picture of myself wearing the boots and they are much bigger than the women's version. So much that I don't want to ever wear them again for fear of looking ridiculous like I'm in clown boots. Money wasted, lesson learned.

The main issue is my son's boots. He was in between sizes and they convinced him a certain size would work. We got home and I said put your boots on and wear them around the house to make sure you don't get blisters. He had them on for exactly 2 minutes and said this will not work. He took them off and I called the store. They agreed to refund the money.
When I got there, they accused me of lying and said he wore them for longer than an hour and they refused to refund. I reminded them the rubber [redacted] were still showing on the boots and I pointed out their floor is dirty. I pulled boots out of other boxes in the store and showed them how dirty the boots are that people walked around the store in while trying them on. They refused to listen or acknowledge and kept walking away laughing. The husband and wife would alternate walking in circles from the back to the front of the store (just a few steps to side office), horrifically ridiculing me in front of other customers and making me feel as if I was just ripped off by foreigners that are only here to take advantage of good, honest citizens that would have supported their business for years to come.
They have no sense of customer service or respect or morals or any decent business practice in their bones. I understand everyone makes mistakes and can't make everyone happy all the time, but they thrive on ripping others off and will stoop to any means to make their dollar. In their case $300.

They were meaner than I've ever been treated by any business owner and had me fuming. They were laughing at me and telling me to go tell everyone I knew how terrible they were and to tell the news media, etc., that they didn't care. It was truly humiliating and as I looked around the store at other innocent customers with and without their children, I felt sorry for them also, because I knew they'd be in my same situation the following day or week.

They do NOT deserve a good Revdex.com rating just because they answer complaints in a timely manner. Look HOW they respond. They can't even fake being nice. They weren't sympathetic or apologetic to the previous complaints. They could care less how ANYONE feels about them or their business.

One of you should visit one day when she's forgotten all about this complaint and find a dirty sole on a pair of boots from Kim's. Buy them, go home, keep them in the box and return them the next day. See what happens. They'll tell you, you got them dirty and that you wore them when you left the store and you're stuck with them.
I never knew to inspect the soles of new boots but she has taught me a lot. Mainly to never refer or buy from her again.

The lump that was created unavoidable and we did everything to remove it and we did. I do not see a problem here. You were explained everything that was repaired and you agreed. I feel I am reieterating the steps that were taken for your repairs. In the end you received all the repairs that you wanted. We will not be giving you a refund.

We are sorry for this incident, and did not mean any kind of disrespect in any form. As for the repairs, you were contacted via phone and explained what exactly would be done to your boots to solve the issue, just like you said, he would remove the lump/bump and in the process of doing this he would...

take out the lining and you agreed. We did everything that you had requested. You were even informed over the phone that there would be an extra charge for the other work which you also agreed to. In the end we did not charge for the extra work because when you received the boots, you seemed to be unsatisfied for the work you had requested. Sorry if there seem to be some kind of miscommunication.
