I am writing in response to the request for info regarding a complaint which was filed 9/28/against Kinder Garden Daycare and Preschool located at [redacted] ** in [redacted] ** A [redacted] indicated that he had purchased a significant package, used half of it, then subsequently requested a refund and was refused It explicitly states in our Parent Handbook that parents receive when they register their child with our center that there are absolutely no refunds given Parents have the option to choose which package they purchase (the bigger the package- the more money up front, but the breakdown of hours is much cheaper for drop in daycare services) Mr [redacted] picked the biggest package we have- hours of drop in childcare for $(breakdown at $5.00/hour) whereas the flat hourly rate is $8/hour for childcare So you see- there is a significant benefit to parents who choose to purchase a bigger package up front, versus just paying the flat rate or purchasing a smaller package with less hours but slightly higher breakdown of cost/hour Therefore, parents knowingly purchase their choice of package with full knowledge that we do not provide refunds Mr [redacted] can either use up the rest of his hours, or they will expire after six months of no activity on his account We will post a big bright bold sign at the front desk reminding parents of our NO Refund policy, so that they will be more conscientious of the packages they purchase and later have no excuse for requesting one
