$from their final billThis made their total amount due $Per the family’s request, we waved the $charge because they hadn’t been expecting itThe total amount they owed was accumulated after their subsidy agency paid their share for the months of April, June, July and SeptemberAs per the signed family contract, the parent is responsible for paying for tuition not covered by the agency that subsidized child care for them. The family was aware when they left KinderCare in September of their full bill that was dueThe parent reached out to us on March to see if they could set up a payment planHowever, the bill had already been sent to collections so we shared their contact information to set up a payment plan. Review: My son attended KinderCare for a little over 2 months, from the beginning the communication issue were a problem, it wasn't until a little over three weeks ago one of the workers released pick up information and ended up speaking about an issue in which resulted not being my child. I let the school know my concerns not too much justice or apologize were given. I then asked for a copy of the terms and condition once more to review, releasing information. After about another week, my son began to cry at drop hysterically, I figured this was normal. I then decided to sit in on his class, while the other children were out and about playing I notice he was sitting on a bench, playing with his teacher's cell phone! Immediately I raised a concern, how will he learn, why does she have her cell phone while monitoring more than 5 children. The second time I decided to sit in , I left my notepad in my car as I was walking back into the building I could hear my son crying again, as I proceeded to walk back I over heard a teacher not his teacher say " I don't have the patience or energy today" instead of sitting in I left with my son. I called to let the school know he would not be returning for the next two weeks and then a finally decision will be made. I was unhappy with my service, paying weekly for your child to learn, grow, and advance but instead he cries and plays with a cell phone alone. The instructor told me its would be 197.00 for those two weeks. After about two weeks I said the finally decision is he's not coming back, I'd rather look for an institute where my money is going to be as advertise learning and summer activities in which we paid an extra fee for summer activities and events, that never occurred. It was then the instructor said she had to speak with her site manager and would give me a call back. She never gave me a call back but instead called my son's father to let him know the finally bill would be four weeks of full pay because he two week notice was not in writing. I would have provided them with a written copy if when I first raised the concern two weeks prior, when I spoke with the director if she would have provided me with the guidelines. Now I'm left with a bill for four weeks of school in which he never attended as well as no summer events , no learning activities.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to pay what I was told verbally. No one ever informed me of a two week written notice when I raised the concern. I agree to pay the 197.00 for the two weeks as we spoke about. Also, those summer fees , if they could be adjusted to his account because he never attended or did any activities that required an "extra fee".

Review: [redacted], parent of KinderCare, hereinafter "**", sent me a notice on 7/25/14 for collection of a past due balance of $767.60. I called the number provided in the notice to claim that I was not in debt. ** representative became belligerent and stated I had to show proof, I asked where is your proof that I did not make payment. Nevertheless, I followed the instructions provided in the notice and delivered via registered USPS mail on 8/2/14. The confirmed delivery is 8/7/14.I find this attempt to collect is without merit and displays sloppy record keeping on **'s behalf. I enclosed a copy of my check dated 6/17/14 for tuition in the amount of $383.80 of which was posted on 6/30/14. The check was for tuition for the week beginning 6/23/14. As per **'s policy, I paid all tuition payments the week in advance for the past three years. I gave notice that my children would no longer attend beyond 6/23/14 that same day. Only one of my children attended on 6/23/14. Since my children were not enrolled past 6/23/14 I have no obligation to pay anything past that date. Further, I expect a refund from ** in the amount of $335.04 from my payment reference check 2055 paid previously for the entire week of tuition. The $335.04 is a pro-rated calculation for one child in attendance on 6/23/14. My wife has received harassing phone calls, after receipt of my letter, from an unnamed representative in **'s collections department on two occasions, 8/21/14 and 9/4/14. On 9/5/14 I sent an email to **'s headquarters customer service with the response I received: "Hello [redacted], Thank you for contacting Customer Care. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. The best person to respond to your concern is the District Manager in your area. Unfortunately, we do not have enough information to locate the appropriate District Manager."I am requesting ** employees to cease the unprofessional and harassing phone calls, and to resolve the billing dispute.Desired Settlement: I want a refund in the amount of $335.04 and a written apology for the unwarranted harassment, unprofessional culture, and lack of institutional control.
