Joshua *** was hired to tear down an old deck and replace it for my elderly mother. Josh took advantage of her, blew her off, and his crew did a terrible job. He has left her for weeks with an unsafe and incomplete deck promising over and over to make it right. He started the project months ago. He has steps that don't have support under them, the support beams are not sitting on the piers because they cut the beams too short, the deck drops over 2 inches from the house to the edge, the railing is crooked and not level, with the top and bottom of the rails going in different directions. They built the first set of steps incorrectly and have tried to re-use the composite boards leaving them looking terrible. They also have a board that isn't intended as a step board on the end. They have did, undid, and redid the boards so many times they are covered in holes. They cut all of the bracket things and just left them, not replacing them. I could have you tubed how to build a deck better than these guys. Josh has not shown up to this job in over six weeks. He promised over and over to come by. He promised he would make things right and she hasn't seen or heard from him. I have plenty of more pics if you would like to see them.
She has an unsafe deck that she can't use and has now contacted an attorney. Don't do work with this man. He has a long history of problems like this, go look him up on casenet.
