AAA Water is a company that is very misleading, they will tell you things to make you think they can fix your water problems but when other problems arise they say that they didn't sell us a water system that address that problem and they can fix it for another $ We had our water tested from a water analysts company and showed it to [redacted] the salesman, He glanced over it and said we can fix all your problems, so we bought the system for $10,The system started out bad from the start by putting salt water that was like ocean water through our house, it etched our brand new fixturesHe told us that their system wouldn't do that and I had to call multiple times before they would come outNow the water system smells like rotten eggs and he said the only thing he could do is sell us an add on systemHe had our water test and didn't sell us the right system from the start now he wants $to fix the problemHe said our water must have changed so I had another water test done and our water from the well is better than it was a year earlierI give this company an FAll I want is my money back

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/03/12) */ Mr. [redacted] has placed a stop payment on his check so there has been no monies collected, additionally although he cancelled after the allowable rescission period, we have/will not be charging him with any cancellation fees. We believe that there is... some possible dementia or mental illness as Mr. [redacted] threatened us as a federal employee to take federal action against us for not returning a check that he insisted be deposited. We offered to cut him a check for the full amount after his check cleared but he decided to place a stop payment. He also insists that he never signed a contract, we have copies of the check and the contract with separate matching signatures. We have been A+ rated for many years and have NEVER used scare tactics to obtain a client, if this were our business practice not only would we not have such high ratings, we would not be heading into our third decade of business! Mr. [redacted] was left his test results in writing and was additionally informed of his water meeting all federal and state standards. He is trying to get refunds on MANY of his purchases through his home builder and became upset when our rep would not go along with his lies. We have written correspondences between the rep and Mr. [redacted] if you would like to review them. Again to clarify, all monies have been returned and no fees will be charged to this client. Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/03/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) My Response It is hard to respond to fabrications and non-truth. I will respond below to all of the facts that are interwoven into their statement. 1) I was notified, by my financial institution in writing, that AAA water tried to cash the check for payment after I notified them of cancellation and after the representative stated that they would return the check. No offer to cut us a check was made. This is documented in writing. 2) The work order that I signed is not a legal binding contract - no terms or conditions and as per law, no termination clause as per law. I was never provided a copy of this work order. This is documented in writing. 3) After their representative retracted their statement that our water faucet had lead in it, I issued in writing the notice that I wanted to cancel the order and to return the check with VOID written on the face of the check. The representative agreed. The request for cancellation and the acceptance of cancellation is also in writing. 4) Disabilities, yes - My wife just had DCIS cancer removed. Two years ago she had open heart surgery and her torn value which could not be repaired. I am in third stage kidney failure, had open heart surgery, chemical diabetes, and a portion of the heart died. This is all documented in writing (health records) and can be provided upon request. Once AAA Water's area representative discovered that we had these disabilities, they used the word "lead", "your system has failed after 4 1/2 months," etc.. Again this is documented in writing. 5) The Department of Justice does handle Discrimination against Disabled Individuals. This process we have utilized in a filing against another organizations. This can be provided in writing upon request. I keep very neat and organized legal files. If needed and I have the form for filing discrimination charges if there is any other attempt to cash the check. 6) No monies have been returned the check is still in their hands. I requested the check with VOID written across the front to be mailed back to our home address; as to date it has not been returned. 7) I am working with the builder to have warranty issues resolved. The builder has been working with us as per the contract and as per the law. 8) I checked with the City Planning Department on any building permit submitted by AAA Water. AAA Water did submit a permit, but no payment for the permit was received. No monetary damages have been experienced by either party, as to date. The attorney, whom I work with has been notified along with with the proper Federal Agencies have been contacted. The same Federal Agencies that the RevDex.com recommends in discrimination matters. Since no damages have occurred no legal actions can be started. This business, AAA Water, needs to stop their unethical business practice. They need to return the check to our address. 3/9/2015 - Filed with the RevDex.com On 3/2/2015 the water consultant tested our water and presented that the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) out of the drinking water side was 101. When asked what we needed to do, she said she would make recommendations on the type of systems we should use. The person made the presentation about how our water softener and reverse osmosis system has failed and because of our kidney failure, heart condition and cancer we needed to replace the system with Kenetico water system for $6,330.00 and get a refund from the developer. When I asked if she work for Kinetico, she said she worked for AAA Water and got paid to test water from water treatment systems and not sell, but she made recommendations on systems. The consultant also stated that the water faucet used to dispense the drinking water, contained lead. We issued a check, scheduled the install for 3/16/2015. After several days of written communications with the consultant and research on the use of lead, to provide all data to the developer, for a refund, the consultant would not provide written documentation for the lead. All other health readings for poor drinking water, based on the EPA standards were provided, but not lead. I pushed for the lead topic and she wrote back stating she never said that. When I informed her that my wife and I both were present and heard her state that lead was in the water faucet, she wrote a firm communication back stating she never said that lead was in the faucet. I wrote back stating that the I wanted the check mailed back, with void written on it and I would call on Monday to cancel the install. When I called [redacted] at AAA water, the lady who schedules the install, became irate stating that I told her to deposit the check, (I did not tell them to deposit the check) and that they paid for the permit and wanted reimbursement for the permit. I told her that I was not reimbursing them. I stopped payment on the check with my bank. We have not received any product, we have stopped installation which was issued on 3/9/2015. All of this is in writing and can be supplied to the BBB. Both my wife and I are disabled, with Heart conditions, cancer, kidney failure and other disabilities. They knew this and tried to capitalize on this by using scare tactics. Action Requested *uaranteed that no financial obligation on our part will be taken place. Also that this company's rating drops to warn consumers of the business practices. Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2015/03/25) */ The check had already been deposited per Mr. *'s request. He then stopped payment, the voided check is being returned to his requested address. He is well aware as stated previously that he has placed a stop payment on the check so we do not understand why he feels the need to make additional threats of filing discrimination allegations? We have made it clear that no charges will be made for the cancellation of his contract, which for the record was signed and a copy including the California cancellation clause was left with him! We have multiple communications in writing of our representative correcting Mr.*'s own research and findings letting him know that theses issues did NOT pertain to his water. Additionally, it was made clear that Mr. [redacted] should only use the Manuel that came with his other equipment to request the refund from the builder as it had failed according to its own standards that are also in writing! We also have copies of emails to other businesses where Mr [redacted] uses the same wording of discrimination on his disabilities when things don't seem to go his way. We have done everything possible to satisfy his requests. Again: NO fees, charges or financial responsibities due by customer. Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 11, 2015/04/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I acknowledge that I finally received my check back in the mail. However, I want to emphasize my major concern in this matter is that AAA Water Systems, Inc. ("AAA Water") used misrepresentations to secure my business. This is especially unsettling because AAA Water is listed by the city of Brentwood, CA as an approved vendor for water systems. This is a brief list of misrepresentations: -While in my home, agent [redacted] verbally stated that there was lead in my faucet. When I asked for confirmation in a later email, the agent denied making that claim. -I was not given a copy of the work order until March 11, 2015, 9 days after placing the order and after I had already canceled the order. -I canceled the order on March 7 and [redacted] agreed to this, as well as agreed to return my check immediately. In fact, I had to place a Stop Payment on the check because AAA Water attempted to cash the check and took several weeks to actually return the check. -When being sold the system, I was given to understand that my current system was inadequate and it would take a new system to replace it in order to meet EPA standards. This was misleading in two respects: 1) It only took a small $100 part to fix my current system and have it perform as I wished, 2) the system, even when not working at full ability, was still producing water that met EPA standards, but not EPA recommendations. Similar to the claim of lead in my faucet, when I asked for confirmation in email, that is the first time [redacted] clearly stated that my water met EPA standards, just not recommendations. These business practices caused me to purchase a system that cost of $6300 when it was completely unnecessary. While I have no monetary damages because I stopped payment on my check before AAA Water improperly attempted to deposit the check, I am concerned other consumers might not be so lucky. AAA Water has also made it sound like they did me a favor by allowing me to cancel, when in fact I had every right to cancel 5 days after requesting the system and before installation when I discovered their misrepresentations; (Civ. Code § 1689(b) & (Civ. Code § 1689(b)(5). This is not how a company that is officially endorsed by a city, or any company for that matter, should act. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

AAA Water is a company that is very misleading, they will tell you things to make you think they can fix your water problems but when other problems arise they say that they didn't sell us a water system that address that problem and they can fix it for another $ 5000. We had our water tested from a water analysts company and showed it to [redacted] the salesman, He glanced over it and said we can fix all your problems, so we bought the system for $10,600. The system started out bad from the start by putting salt water that was like ocean water through our house, it etched our brand new fixtures. He told us that their system wouldn't do that and I had to call multiple times before they would come out. Now the water system smells like rotten eggs and he said the only thing he could do is sell us an add on system. He had our water test and didn't sell us the right system from the start now he wants $5000.00 to fix the problem. He said our water must have changed so I had another water test done and our water from the well is better than it was a year earlier. I give this company an F. All I want is my money back.
