This business is involved in deceptive business practicesMy wife was only told that signing the AMA paperwork was a release of liability for her to transport our daughter herself and was not told anything about paymentWhen the paramedics arrived on scene, one began talking to my wife while the other immediately began checking our daughters vitals, without any approval from the wifeAgain, we did not ask for, want, need, or use their service other than what was forced upon us
It is not fair that "a response to call charge is billed regardless", when we did not make or ask for the callIn fact, we specifically told the school NOT to call and I have explained this to King Ambulance repeatedlythey should be billing the school, not us
If you review the companies Yelp website, this is not an isolated incident but a definite pattern of abusive practices by this company

King-American Ambulance Company responded to a 9-1-1 dispatched call for emergency medical services in connection with a motor vehicle accident in which you were involved. After medical evaluation and assessment you refused transport to an emergency facility against medical advice. Your signature released the emergency services provider from any liability for any damages or injury resulting from your refusal. Your signature also assigned insurance benefits and guaranteed payment for charges associated with the emergency response. A copy of the medical Patient Care Record is enclosed to assist you.
A response to call charge is billed regardless of the patient's decision to refuse hospital care. We filed your claim with your health plan on your behalf. Your health plan denied your claim. On 1/25/15 Blue Shield reported to our claims office you stated to them that you were disputing the claim and that you received no services.
On 2/6/15 Blue Shield denied the claim for "non-covered services." You are responsible for payment. Questions regarding your plan benefits, co-payments, deductibles, charges not covered or claims denied should be directed to your insurance carrier or health plan.
You are requested to:
Send your check today payable to King-American Ambulance Company for the amount due; or,
Pay on-line at [redacted] and a payment receipt will be available via email upon payment; or,
Pay by credit card by calling our Billing Department at XXX XXX-XXXX extension [redacted], or by return mail. We accept VISA and MasterCard.

King-American Ambulance has still not addressed two important facts: 1) I did not make the call for the ambulance service, a stranger who witnessed the accident did; and 2) the paramedics took advantage of me while I was shaken up from the accident and deceived me into signing their multipage form by stating that they could not leave unless I signed it.

The dispute has been adjudicated. The decision is final. No further consideration is warranted. This must be settled now with the collection agency.
