King Blacktop did our driveway years ago This spring noticing large cracks in the driveway, we attempted to contact them in April for someone to come out and discuss this Many calls later and months past and no show from them, we finally had to call someone else, because we did not want to go through another winter causing more damage We finally found someone who explained to us the problem, how it happens and how to deal with it This is all we wanted from *** Blacktop They wasted no time taking our money to do the job but was not willing to deal with our problems, if anyone is in the market for blacktop work, I would stay clear of *** Blacktop

There are other cracks along the edges of the driveway. Kings Blacktop did not respond to this issue.
As for the tire track damaged, I have to take the bullet and take that as a loss.

I [redacted] King owner of King Blacktop am writing in response to the false allegations made by the staff at [redacted] located at [redacted] Roosevelt Road Rockford IL 61109, everything in our contract has been completed at this...

point. I had my foreman walk over the project prior to installation layout, everything that was to be paved and was approved by [redacted]’s superintendent. I spoke with my installer prior to writing this response and was informed that everything was laid out per the measurements on the contract. As far as the sealcoating not being completed this is correct, the season has ended due to the temperatures needed to perform this type of service.  The disputed dollar amount has never been paid by [redacted] and I would be interested in seeing the cancelled check, we do however have payment in full for the paving project only. As far as putting off the project many of our customers were set back due to weather conditions, this was explained several times to the Vice President [redacted] who’s conduct professionally and personally was nothing less than toxic. The portion paving [redacted] claims to have not been finished was an area leading to a storage trailer allowing access, we informed them we have recycled asphalt product, that we could place there for them to help them gain access. This was not part of our contract agreement and was to be done as a favor. This favor has since been retracted do to [redacted]’s unprofessional conduct, I urge the management to remove this complaint immediately or it will be turned over to our attorney.

This driveway was paved late in the season of 2015 using a standard Residential mix compacted to a 2" layer of asphalt.  This depth of asphalt cannot and will not support a loaded dump truck weighing 50,000 lb with dirt.  This weight can commonly cause the asphalt to crack and/or leave...

marks where the tires drove on the asphalt and also drove off the edge of the driveway.  If this type of damage occurs, repairs are required, and not covered under any common asphalt warranties.  So any needed repairs will be at an additional expense to the property owner.  We do have photos of the damaged drive way showing where the dump truck backed onto the driveway and also off the edge of the driveway.

The job was completed to the customer's satisfaction on August 28th. The customer has paid in full.
