I had resolved this while this complaint was still open and unable to be closed.
Per the instructions on our website: "When you purchase, we will require a 5% credit card hold. This is a hold, NOT A CHARGE. When we receive full payment for your purchase, we will release this hold on your credit card. (This process is similar to when a hotel takes a credit card hold at check-in...
for incidental expenses or room damages. The hotel will subsequently release the hold when you check out). Our process is the same, only we release the hold upon receipt of payment."Per this policy, we released the hold on this client's card on July 17th, the day we received the check. (See attachment). I have no idea what the origin is of her complaint. The only thing I can think of is the fact that her credit card company may take 24-48 hours to release the funds once the authorization is voided.[redacted]
