Review: On May [redacted], 2015, I entered into an agreement with Andrew D[redacted] (Suffolk County Master Electrician License #[redacted]) to provide certain electrical work (see attached agreement) at my business facility. Per the terms of the agreement, I provided Mr. D[redacted] with a deposit of $6,000, and consent to apply on my behalf to PSEG for certain rebates in the amount over $4,000. Mr. D[redacted] has immediately cashed the check (copies attached. To date, Mr. D[redacted] has not started any work, and has ignored all attempts to reach out to him via the phone to determine if he intends to start the project. Each attempt to call him, results in Mr. D[redacted] disconnecting the line, or simply not picking up. It appears as if Mr. D[redacted] took the money without any intent to deliver the services and materials agreed upon.

Review: I hired [redacted] to install a generator for my home because we were badly affected by Hurricane Sandy with flooding & a power outage of 12 days. He was highly recommended & gave me a card with his electrical License# on it. He said I needed to pay him $12,500.00 that day, July **, 2013 in order to have the generator by the beginning of August. He said he would begin the work within a few days & we set up an appointment for the first time. He cancelled that appointment and every other appointment we set up for a full month. He would not answer or return my calls or emails. I changed my schedule every time but he did not care and gave me such a variety of excuses that I started to worry he was not honest. I called the people who recommended him and they called him and actually managed to get him to come and do just the first step of the job, it was a 2 part step and he only did 1 step, promising to finish the next day which he never showed up to do. I started to contact the License Bureau of Suffolk County and his License was not valid. He would not give me his correct License number but proved he had a License through a 3-way call. After that he came back once to finish step 2 on a Sat. & said he would return Mon. to install the generator. He never showed up again & cancelled another 3 appointments. Many steps needed to be done but I just wanted him to deliver the generator I paid for. He refused to deliver the generator. He said he would give me back my money if he sold the generator he supposedly bought for me. This was the beginning of October. I hired a new electrical co. & they told him we would take the generator & use it. He miraculously found a buyer that day & told me he would send me $10,300 back because I was willing to pay $2200 for a job that should have only cost $1,000 He said he would send me the check Oct **. He never sent the check,wouldn't show me the receipt that proved he sent it. He lied about it & then refused to return my money like he promised. He is a thief.Desired Settlement: I want back the money that he took from me for the generator that I paid for which he did not and refused to deliver. Unfortunately, I have to sue him for this because our laws make it very easy for criminals who steal from victims like me to get away with it. I want to make sure he does not steal from any other helpless victims and that is why I am reporting him to this Bureau and I did also file a criminal complaint against him.
