*** DID NOT stop by The Plumber Company’s office because he doesn’t even own a carI am the only one with a car and I did not stop by your office eitherWe both work 9-5pm which is most likely the same hours your office is openI would like to see you proof that *** went to your office to pick up a check besides word of your receptionist. We DID NOT know our neighbor received the checkHow would we know? You didn’t tell usNone of our neighbors came up to us to let us knowWe are new in the neighborhood so we don’t even know most of our neighborsPlease give me the name of our neighbor you spoke with? The heat was turned on in November but it never worked properlyThere is one heating system for both apartmentsIn our apartment only of our radiators turned on. In our tenant's apartment only of her radiators turned on. We tried to figure out the issue ourselvesWe insulated all the piping in the basementWe changed all the valves on every radiatorWe constantly tried to balance the heating system and nothing workedAfter researching online the only other thing that could have been wrong was the boiler was dirty and that was preventing the steam from traveling to all the radiators. Once we figured this out we called the new plumber and asked him to check to see if the boiler was dirty. As soon as the new plumber cleaned our boiler and turned the system back on ALL OF OUR RADIATORS STARTED TO HEAT UP IMMEDIATELY. This is proof the issue was the boiler was not cleaned and that was because The Plumber Company didn't do it when they came out to do the work even though it was listed on the original work order. When I initially called requesting the refund for the piping WE DID NOT KNOW THE BOILER WAS NEVER CLEANED. This is why we are as*** for an additional refund. The Plumber Company must have known it was never cleaned and they neglected to tell us that. We didn't find out the boiler wasn’t cleaned until the new plumber came out in January. If we knew the boiler was not clean we would’ve had it cleaned sooner so our heat would have worked properlyIt is not like we enjoyed having only a few radiators working during the winter

Regards,
*** *** I received the *** *** rebatesI also have a letter from *** *** telling me that I am eligable for the matching rebates dated 6/5/

*** *** sent an email regarding the piping work that was done in our basement and how a lot less piping was used then what we were charged for He never received a reply to that email from The Plumber Company so he and I (***) started calling the company requesting a refund I spoke with the receptionist at the Plummer Company several times (She told me the first few times we called that she would need to speak to her boss and call me back) Finally she said we would receive $refund (we originally paid $1300)Since my boyfriend (***) and I were not able to stop by their office to pick up the check (because of our work) I asked them to mail the check to us The receptionist said she would put in in the mail This was the week of Thanksgiving I know because we were going of town to visit family in another state and there was no check upon our returnBecause of the holiday I gave the mail a couple extra days before I called The Plumber company and inform them we didn’t receive the check When I called the Plumber Company I believe I spoke to *** He said he would put a stop payment on the check and mail another one to us At no point did *** or I ever stop by their company to pick up a checkWe have never been to their officeThat statement by *** is a lieIf we did he would also know I (***) is female and not a Mr (which he keeps referring to me as) This is also the first I am hearing about our “neighbor” calling them because they received out checkWe were never informed of this A month later it was time to turn on the heatOur heat was not wor*** properly and we suspected our boiler was never cleaned by the Plummer Company Because we already lost trust in the Plummer Company because they charged us for work that was not done and the ONLY reason we received the initial refund was because we contacted them about the work not lining up with the work order They did not call US to tell us If we didn’t call them they would have kept our overpayment They also NEVER told us that they did not complete the work order by not cleaning the boiler This is why we called another company to see if our boiler was ever cleaned Please find a photo attached of our boiler and how filthy it was when the new plumber came to clean itThis was taken on 1/8/ We just bought the house in August and this photo shows the boiler has not been cleaned for quite a whileMy understanding was the $refund that was given to us was for the overpayment of the pipingNobody at the The Plumber Company informed us they ALSO didn’t clean our boilerWe still think we should at least get $back from Plumber Company because we had to pay someone else to clean the boiler even though they were supposed to do when they came to our house in November

1st of all I have never met [redacted] or [redacted] I don't know if they are males or females however I do know that [redacted] came to my office to pick up the check. I just confirmed with * who works at my office and she can verify that fact.2nd of all they both know that their neighbor received the first check and if we have to get a sworn deposition from the neighbor we will do that. The neighbor gave the check to them and the reason they came to my office was because I had already stopped payment on the original check.3rd the story about the heat not working keeps changing and now she is saying that they didn't turn on the heat until January. So between November 10th when we did the work until January 8th the heat was never turned on? 4th she states that they would have never received the rebate unless they had called us. She tries to make this point as if some nefarious dealings were going on. What happened was that our estimator went to the house originally to give the quote. An installation crew then went back to do the work. The installation crew simply did the job they were instructed to perform, which was installing gas piping. Mr [redacted] called us and complained that the boiler cleaning was not done and that the work to install the gas piping was less then they had anticipated. Again wanting to be totally fair I issued a $500.00 rebate, almost 40% off! (which she calls a slight refund) and they cashed the check. Now months later they had to do more work on the boiler (remember she said it was not balanced?) changing steam vents and valves and other work which nothing to do with cleaning the boiler and they want even more money back from me now to pay for that work.

This is the first that my office heard about a complaint from this customer.Would need more information to respond.

We have no record of this person ever calling our company

Our rebate matching program was initiated after Mr [redacted]'s work was completed and paid for.The first we heard from him requesting the rebate was August 5th 2015, when he was informed that he did not qualify for the rebate program, because the program began after his work was done. However since...

he is a good customer we agreed to match the rebates. Our only request was that he verify that he received the rebates from [redacted] in the first place. Apparently the work was done at a rental property and we never received confirmation that the rebates were paid to him. (the rebates may have been paid to the gas account holders)We are still awaiting that information and once we have it the matching rebates will be sent to him. Also we do not understand why he says he cannot reach us, we worked at the rental property on Oct 19th 2015 and at his personal house in September of this year as well.Since our matching rebate program began we have paid over $27300.00 to our cutomers in matching rebates, and although Mr [redacted] does not technically qualify we are going to match his rebate once we receive the confirmation we have been requesting.

Please find attached original invoice dated 11/9/15Under description of work please note "Replace approx 25'" (approximately) not an exact length of pipe.Furthermore we also had to separate the 1st and 2nd floor gas pipes. This work was completed on 11/10/15 by a Licensed Pipefitter who works for me...

and since the work was completed I did not question exactly how the piping was configured and we had no idea there was going to be a problem with the work until Ms [redacted] sent an email as[redacted] for a refund. See next paragraph. Now Mr. [redacted] states that he waited several weeks for a refund. Here is the true story. Please find attached scanned copy of the  contact email from [redacted] which we received on 11/20/15. (I am going to forward you the original email as well)Wanting to be fair I asked what work was not completed to her satisfaction and I was told that the boiler was not cleaned and that the gas piping was not as much work as she had anticipated. We agreed to a refund of $500.00 (please see attached $79.00 furnace cleaning postcard)A check #[redacted] was immediately cut and mailed 11/23/15 to Mr [redacted].Now here is where the several weeks of waiting comes in which Mr [redacted] must have forgotten about. My office received a call on 12/02/16 from Mr [redacted] inquiring about the refund check. We told him the check had been sent but that since he hadn't received it we would stop payment on the check and issue a new one after verifying the address. (Please see attached Bank Statement showing $35.00 Stop Payment Fee on 12/04/15 which I paid)Before the check was mailed and within 1 or 2 days we received a call from Mr [redacted]'s NEIGHBOR that he had received a check from us and was confused. We explained that it was his neighbor's check and could he please drop it off to Mr [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] then came to my office with the original check (stop payment) which the neighbor had given him and he was given the replacement check #[redacted] which was then cashed by Mr. [redacted] on 12/17/15. (see attached check #[redacted])and (check register showing both checks to Mr [redacted])Now Mr [redacted] states that he "called another plumber because he suspected the boiler was never cleaned" Now the true story is that Mr [redacted] was having problems with balancing his boiler, he states that he "changed all his radiator valves and insulated all the pipes" Apparently the valves and insulation did not correct his balancing problem so then he called another plumber. That is when Mr [redacted] decided he would attempt to get more money from us even though we had made an agreement with [redacted] that the $500.00 was the refunded amount. Finally I will submit to you the 2 reviews that were left on [redacted] by Mr [redacted] (I will forward this email as well)In the review Mr [redacted] states that "they issued us a slight refund" (remember it was a $500.00 refund he calls slight) then he states in the google review that "we were charged $300.00 for that" (The boiler cleaning remember he said $200.00 in the complaint?) Mr [redacted] then states that we refuse to return his calls. In fact Mr [redacted] was told that [redacted] agreed to the $500.00 and he would not be getting any further refunds.Mr [redacted] has lied consistently throughout this process and his lies have been exposed with the documents I have attached and forwarded. If you have any questions please callThanks[redacted]     [redacted]The Plumber Company, LPA Veteran Owned Business[redacted]http://www.ThePlumberCompany.comCell [redacted]Office [redacted]Fax [redacted]
