This is outrageous! I will start by answering her accusations item by item First of all, I can produce payroll records that prove there has never been a staff member that was not paid wages for time worked I can put you in touch with the state representatives that helped us properly shut down the academy and have many students and staff that witnessed the state's announcement to the student about the closing that we voluntarily decided to close and they had nothing to do with us closing Paul Mitchell still has an amazing relationship with us they never pulled or even threatened to pull our contract with them This is all grossly information Now for what happened In order to officially graduate cosmetology (not only at cactus academy) you have to do things - complete clock hours - complete all your tests and assignments - pay your tuition in full [redacted] knows this She could have transferred to another school at any time She chose to complete her program here We announced we were closing on Aug **, 20** By September [redacted] I was made aware that she wanted to come in to complete her exit interview and pay off her balance of $ She and her mother came in on Friday September [redacted] and paid by check this balance and we in turn completed her exit interview so she could graduate her mother thought since we were closing she could be slick and stop payment on the check because she didn't think we would have any recourse Not true We still have to electronically sign off for her to take her exam for licensure We called her and her mother answered the phone and laughed at us when we asked if she would like to pay with another form of payment Since it was not a joke despite her laughter we informed her that we will have no choice but to notify the state that she did not meet the graduation requirements and therefore cannot go for her exam I guess this upset her daughter so she called back and asked if they could come in on September ** to resolve this We agreed She never showed and would not answer our calls which left us no choice but to call the police since this is "theft of service" as well as "intent to commit fraud" for not paying something they knew and agreed to pay I personally have made several attempts to get in touch with [redacted] to resolve this but since they ignore us and think it's funny the police suggested that we take it to civil court Which we are doing You cannot commit a crime and laugh it off The school business is not a joke and the amount owed exceeds small claims court We have filed in district court and are awaiting a court date In addition to her outlandish tale I want to address her ability to come in and practice for her state board exam starting with the fact that we were open until the end of September She could have come in any of the days a week we were teaching students to "practice' we also offered that any student & graduate that wanted to could go the Paul Mitchell school in state island free of charge to practice although it may not be "convenient" it is still offered and free She lives in Levittown NY It would probably take her less than an hour to get there She chooses to lie and deceit for what? I have attached the documentation that shows her e mails asking to come in to pay acknowledging that payment was owed and she wanted to pay as well as her contract for school, a copy of the canceled check, and her ledger card showing the charges it is unfortunate the school went out of business but it happens Businesses including school are allowed to close as long as you follow proper protocol which we have Please let me know how you would like to proceed

Excelsis Roofing did an amazing job and I would strongly recommend anyone in need of a new roof to contact them and you will not be disappointed Jonathan Pahnke is the owner of Excelsis and he walked me through the whole processJonathan has an extensive background in working with insurance companies and was an invaluable asset in assisting me with my insurance companyI had some shingles missing due to wind damage and Jonathan was always available to answer questions and also was present when the insurance claim adjuster made the visit to my home for the inspectionOn the day of install, Jonathan went the extra mile of sending back some shingles that were not up to his standards and made sure everything going on the house was top notchOnce again I just want to thank Jonathan and Excelsis Roofing for a job well done!

This is outrageous!  I will start by answering her accusations item by item.  First of all, I can produce payroll records that prove there has never been a staff member that was not paid wages for time worked.  I can put you in touch with the state representatives that helped us...

properly shut down the academy and have many students and staff that witnessed the state's announcement to the student about the closing that we voluntarily decided to close and they had nothing to do with us closing.  Paul Mitchell still has an amazing relationship with us they never pulled or even threatened to pull our contract with them.  This is all grossly false information.  Now for what happened ...  In order to officially graduate cosmetology (not only at cactus academy) you have to do 3 things 1 - complete 1000 clock hours 2 - complete all your tests and assignments 3 - pay your tuition in full.  [redacted] knows this.  She could have transferred to another school at any time.  She chose to complete her program here.  We announced we were closing on Aug **, 20**.  By September ** I was made aware that she wanted to come in to complete her exit interview and pay off her balance of $3244.75.  She and her mother came in on Friday September ** and paid by check this balance and we in turn completed her exit interview so she could graduate.  her mother thought since we were closing she could be slick and stop payment on the check because she didn't think we would have any recourse.  Not true.  We still have to electronically sign off for her to take her exam for licensure.  We called her and her mother answered the phone and laughed at us when we asked if she would like to pay with another form of payment.  Since it was not a joke despite her laughter we informed her that we will have no choice but to notify the state that she did not meet the graduation requirements and therefore cannot go for her exam.  I guess this upset her daughter so she called back and asked if they could come in on September ** to resolve this.  We agreed.  She never showed and would not answer our calls which left us no choice but to call the police since this is "theft of service" as well as "intent to commit fraud" for not paying something they knew and agreed to pay.  I personally have made several attempts to get in touch with [redacted] to resolve this but since they ignore us and think it's funny the police suggested that we take it to civil court.  Which we are doing.  You cannot commit a crime and laugh it off.  The school business is not a joke and the amount owed exceeds small claims court.  We have filed in district court and are awaiting a court date.  In addition to her outlandish tale I want to address her ability to come in and practice for her state board exam starting with the fact that we were open until the end of September.  She could have come in any of the 6 days a week we were teaching students to "practice' we also offered that any student & graduate that wanted to could go the Paul Mitchell school in state island free of charge to practice.  although it may not be "convenient" it is still offered and free.  She lives in Levittown NY.  It would probably take her less than an hour to get there.  She chooses to lie and deceit for what?  I have attached the documentation that shows her e mails asking to come in to pay acknowledging that payment was owed and she wanted to pay as well as her contract for school, a copy of the canceled check, and her ledger card showing the charges.  it is unfortunate the school went out of business but it happens.  Businesses including school are allowed to close as long as you follow proper protocol which we have.  Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
