Unsanitary Room and Poor Customer ServiceThis room was beyond unsanitary. The shower curtain had blood on it and the tub was stained with dirt. I thought that was bad enough until I removed the sheets and saw blood on the bedding pad. Now getting into room service to gowe tried to get more towels and tissue the front desk told us we would have to look in the hallways for maids to get something. Couldn't book anyway else because I will never stay at this hotel again! Hotel is unsanitary, unprofessional, broken equipment, poor customer service and have nuisance tenants living on the fourth floor.I got an excellent quote from your booking.com for The King Signature Hotel also known as The Cedar aka Elvis Signature Hotel. We needed a group rate quote for 25 rooms. Therefore, we had to contact the hotel directly for more information and to reserve the rooms. My contact person was [redacted]. When we arrived, the parking lot had people hanging out; drug dealers and prostitutes. The trash cans were running over with trash on the lot and grounds. And, the luggage carts looked like they used them for maintenence; dirty, carpeted, oily and full of dried up paints. The elevators were dark, wobbly, smelly and squeaked. The pictures on the website were nothing like the rooms. The rooms were dark, filthy, smelly and not cleaned. The carpets were torn, stained and smelly. The sofas had white stains all over them. The desks had food stains and cup rings on it. The furniture was dusty and smeared. The bed linens were soiled, smelled, not washed and yellow. We had a guest in our party that found a condom with feces on it in the bed. Another guest sheets were bloody. My pillow cases looked liked someone had urinated on them. The towels were thin, terribly worn, smelled and had not been laundered. Another guest in our party got ready to wash the sweat from his face and noticed someone had wiped their [redacted] on the towel, folded it and placed it back on the shelf. The bathroom floor was trashy and dirty. The tub was extremely dirty. The shower curtains were yellow and smelled like urine. The bathroom doors and walls had dirt, food and finger prints on them. They never mopped, vacuumed or swept any of the floors or stairwells. We went down to complain to the manager; who called the owner to come to the hotel; who turned out to be rude. The owner yelled at us and said that if we don't like it, we can go somewhere else. Our stay was 6 days long. All the other hotels were booked because it was Memphis in May and the Barbecue Fest was going on. The manager only gave us $30; after everyone left to go to [redacted] for cleaning supplies. We had to buy [redacted] wipes, bleach, air freshener, towles, scented candles, carpet and upholstery cleaner. The staff wore dirty, saggy clothes. They were hung over and smelled like alchohol and marijuana. The workers said that they ran a boarding house on the fourth floor. The parking lot gate, door and awning were broken. The steps and hallways were smoky. The air only works in the mornings and afternoons; goes out at night. I heard a worker say that the guy in room 416 sold drugs and brought in prostitutes.  If this hotel is used for activities as such, the guests health are in jeopardy by exposing them to different bodily fluids. The WiFi and cable went in and out. And, some of the televisions didn't work. The swimming pool didn't have water. The kitchen had one person cooking, taking orders and collecting money; it was only opened when someone wanted to place an order. This hotel was just down right in unsanitary and unsatisfactory operating conditions.  I am shocked that the Revdex.com has allowed this place to operate under these horrible conditions. This is a slap in all our faces. The health department needs to be notified as well. And, booking.com should not be promoting this hotel. A representative from each one of these facilities need to go stay for a weekend and give the consumers their honest opinion. I would have rather slept under a bridge. I definitely will not be staying here again and of course you know that Elvis is probably turning over in his grave about the hotel being located and advertised in the heart of [redacted]!!Desired SettlementA full refund, expenses for cleaning supplies and compensation for the mental and physical labor spent cleaning the hotel's rooms for their housekeeping department.

I noticed hotel room to be unsafe after arrival as security door was broken. Staff refused to fix door or move room. Refused refund. Aside from the minor issues (smell, ripped carpets, cigarette burns on the comforter in a nonsmoking room), my major issue was that the security door that was 15 feet from my room was broken. It is supposed to be card access only as it is an unmonitored entrance, but the latch in the door frame had been broken. It appeared as though someone had forced their way in. When I contacted the front desk about it, they told me they are not concerned about it. I asked to speak to the manager and was denied that request. The staff said that they spoke with the manager, who said that I "should not worry about it" and that "everything will be fine". They refused to fix the door or to move my room to another floor, despite having availability. They also refused to refund my reservation. I left anyway, as I wouldn't spend the night in an unsafe place. A different hotel manager later denied that I had ever lodged a complaint in the first place.
