King Stahlman Bail Bonds Reviews (3)

Hi ***,
Thank you for taking the time to look into this dispute furtherSo I read King Stahlman Bail Bonds rebuttal and it seems that they did not even address my complaintAs I stated in my original complaint filing my dispute with this business is the fact that the business agreed to a payment schedule (see their attachment "Promissory Note") starting on 02/15/The business had my banking information for automatic payment and it seems they had a clerical error on their end or they have too many cases to manageSo I never had any deductions from my bank account nor any contact from the business until late June This is my rebuttal is that King Stahlman Bail Bonds failed to fulfill their responsibility in the payment contractThank you for your time and efforts*** ***

Initially Mr. [redacted] claimed that we were nothing but legalized loan sharks (lending money at a high interest rate), when in fact we charged no interest, and this was not a loan but a debt owed by Mr. [redacted]. As our paperwork proves Mr. [redacted] is simply trying to get out of paying what he owes. Our initial position has not changed. Furthermore, as to his new complaint we could not charge his credit card because it had been cancelled by Mr. [redacted]. We have contacted Mr. [redacted] several times and still refuses to pay what he owes. We are more then happy to accommodate Mr. [redacted] as to the original terms of the promissory note that he signed, all he would need to do is to call our office with a valid credit card.
Thank you for your time,
King Stahlman Bail Bonds, Inc.

Review: I was charged $130 for the balance of my bail and when I called the San Diego location to request a receipt sent to me for the payment as well as a statement saying that my balance was paid in full, I was met with many issues. Primarily, I was told by three separate agents to call at three separate times, each later than the time given before, to speak to one particular agent regarding my request. The fourth and final time I called, I was transferred to an agent named [redacted]. [redacted] couldn't provide a receipt and raised his voice to me on the phone because I was asking for one and asking when I would receive one. He brought up the fact that when I was signing paperwork in his office that he did not have this many problems with me. His tone was demeaning and I felt embarrassed and ashamed for asking for a receipt and proof from their business that my bail amount was paid in full and that I now longer owed any money, nor would I be charged again for anything since my balance was paid. This treatment was unacceptable. For a business that already has my money and I now longer have any outstanding balance, I am amazed that a receipt would not be ready to send out immediately.Desired Settlement: I believe the business has the responsibility to

A) Mail something that states money will be taken out automatically on a certain day

B)Provide a receipt when someone pays or when the money is taken out. The money is being held as a pending charge in my bank and will be taken out. I have requested a receipt and am being told by multiple people that they will send it out when they have time and when it's convenient for them.

C) Provide customer service to people without getting emotional. It is the associate's job to maintain a level of professionalism, despite the type of job they do and despite the type of people they are providing a service to, and despite how people are acting towards them. You get paid to deal with the worst people, not the best.

Re: ID: [redacted]

Complaint Involving Defedant: [redacted] aka [redacted]

On November 5th, 2012 the defendant [redacted] was bailed out using our services assuming

financial responsibility for herself. At the time of her arrest she was charged with a bail of

$10,000. The fee for a $10,000 bond is $1,000. Due to the fact the defendant was a lifetime

resident and was gainfully employed we decided from the outset to give her a 20% discount, lowering

the required premium to $800, saving Ms. [redacted] $200.

We then further agreed to help out Ms. [redacted] by letting her put $400 down towards the

premium with a promissory note of $100 a month starting the 23rd of November 2012, and the final

$100 balance to be paid on January 4th, 2013. The payments she made were in the following order

11/26/12 $25, 12/24/12 $15, 02/16/13 $100, 05/11/13 $50, 06/26/13 $30, 08/02/13 $50.

As per the Promissory Note that Ms. [redacted] signed "if any default in payment occurs, the entire balance

becomes due immediately." Ms. [redacted] defaulted on her very 1st payment! We would've been well within our

legal right to charge her for the entire balance, BUT we decided to give Ms. [redacted] ample opportunity to get

on track with her payments. We took the final payment of $130 from Ms. [redacted]s credit card, eight months

AFTER the balance was supposed to be paid.

I've attached a copy of her email request sent on 09/27/13 with my response sent on the same date

09/27/13. In my response I attached a copy of her Receipt and Statement of Charges, Promissory

Note, "King" Stahlman General Conditions of Bail, all payment receipts (including final payment

stating Balance Paid in Full) as she requested.

As for her claims that the bail agent [redacted] could not provide a copy of her receipt she is

correct. She needed to speak to me for a copy of her receipt. The bail agents never are involved

with getting copies from the file to the defendant. She needed to speak to me in regards to

getting a copy of her receipt. As far as her comment at the end of her complaint that "a receipt

was not sent out immediately," that is a less then truthful statement.

We have been in business in San Diego County for over 60 years, this is the lst complaint we have

ever received. Please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted].

Sincerely,

Secretary to George Stahlman III

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

I was transferred to [redacted], not by my choice. Not getting a receipt was only part of the problem, since I could only pick one reason why I was choosing to file a complaint. I did eventually receive a receipt, but the majority of the problem stems from how my request was handled. [redacted] was rude and unprofessional. Plain and simple. The fact that I called five times before I got a straight answer was a problem. I was yelled at by one of their agents who I was transferred to by someone in that agency. Their response deals solely with money and not with the other issues brought up in my original complaint.

I feel this was a generic response to the complaint. I have no idea who Mrs. [redacted] is, but it isn’t me. I feel if any company is going to apologize, then they should be addressing the correct person. I do not want any more responses from King Stahlman. I am completely dissatisfied with every step of the complaint process on their end and I wish to no longer hear from them. Thank you.
