Review: Dear Sir/Mam,

King Towing Inc. has illegally towed my car from my apartment ([redacted] Apartment) in the middle of the night without my permission. My car is properly registered to the state and the apartment offices. This can be verified by calling the offices of the apartments. Because of this, I had to miss work the very next day in order to get my truck from their premises in [redacted], VA.

I'm a new tenant so I was given a temporary parking pass while I was settling down. But in the meantime, I was able to register permanently and my records were updated with the office. It was just a matter of finally receiving the tags (which I had just recently received 2 days ago) and attaching them to my car.

The purpose of any responsible towing company should be to work with the office to ensure that cars are responsibly and correctly towed. Part of this involves cross-checking any suspicious vehicles with the offices to ensure there's no misunderstanding (which takes 1 minute). This company lacks the foresight and professionalism to do so because they completely misunderstand the spirit of their actual job. They just want to hit-and-run hardworking individuals with their exorbitant towing costs (nearly totaling $160) without actually realizing they may be doing severe harm to people's livelihoods when they relocate their vehicle 30 minutes away from their home. And that before performing such a serious measure, there should be a minimal obligation to ensure that there's no misunderstanding, especially in a non-commercial home setting. I'm just incredibly disappointed at this business' ethics and I would like them to rectify their practices. And more importantly, I want them to reimburse my towing costs of $160.
