King Ward Coach Lines

A bus trip to Assembly Row on July 27 was grossly and falsely advertised for what the trip turned out to be. Confirmed by King Ward staff.Four members paid 60.00/each for a bus trip to Assembly Row on [redacted] 2014. Trip's flyer described the day as "new and unique tourist destination, cuisine for every palate, events, entertainment, handmade arts market, etc. When we arrived, it appeared only 12 stores were availabel for us to shop in. NOT a shopping complex, as described in flyer and email. Restaurants were scarce. No handmade crafts. Many on the bus chose to go to Faneuil Hall instead of spending time at Assembly Row. Those of us who wanted to stay at AR, along with the King Ward escort, made plans to leave area early, as it did not present as enough to do with our given time frame. The King Ward escort stated verbally outloud that she thought more would be offered. I called King Ward on [redacted] to discuss the incident and such disappointment. "[redacted]" stated to me that she had spoken to [redacted] the ** escort, who told her it was a disappointing bus trip. I asked for our money back. [redacted] spoke with [redacted] and told me we would get 10.00 credit for future trips. I thanked her. Upon telling my friends and family, and the 3 other travelers I went on trip with, NO ONE INCLUDING MYSELF wants to accept 10.00 off further trip. I called Mr. [redacted] myself SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. HE WAS NEVER AVAILABLE TO TAKE MY PHONE CALLS OR RETURN MY CALLS. I find this lack of professionalism to be extrememly poor communication and cowardly. I am asking that all 4 of the people on this trip be reimbursed the full 60.00 each that we paid for this bus trip that was falsely advertised and very disappointing. We did NOT want to spend any time in Fanueil Hall, but wanted a fun experience at a new location spot called Assembly Row that's King Ward flyer promised us a fun and new place to shop for the day.Desired SettlementThere were 4 people in my party to Assembly Row on [redacted] 2014. We are all seeking $60.00 returned to us for a trip that was falsely advertised. We do NOT want 60.00 in King Ward credit for future trips.Business Response The issues with this trip was beyond the control of King Ward Coach Lines.We provided a satisfactory solutions to the small group of people that were inconvenienced.Plus we offered compensation to the small group.As far as I am concerned, we did everything we possibly could.[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My party and I are NOT satisfied with the 10.00 off our next bus trip "compensation" given by King Ward. I made several phone calls to speak about this incident and my calls were never returned. The majority of the people on this bus trip were NOT happy with what we saw at these "outlets"... as there was little shopping and the advertisement did NOT give us the day that was advertised.. We truly feel King Ward can make a better reimbursement to us than 10.00 off another bus trip! Research should have been made by King Ward staff prior to this trip, as the trip was NOTHING THAT WAS ADVERTISED! We did not sign up for a day at Faneill Hall!!!! We signed up for Assembly Row shopping, which was a premature bus trip. There were very little stores to shop at. This research should have been done before hand. This was a wasted 60.00 per person. My party had 4 people involved. All you are offering us is 10.00 off a future bus trip? Please reconsider!Final Business Response As I stated before, we offered her compensation, she felt it was not good enough.The situation that she is referring to was out of our control.[redacted]
