Review: I purchased SODA shoes Vacation-S the shoes are defective I brought the shoes back that were defective 2 months ago, the shoes were switched out for another pair of shoes. I asked for a receipt and was told a receipt could not be given since the shoes were replacement shoes. Now the replacement shoes in under 2 months have now broken due to a defect, when I went back up to the store the older gentleman all but threw me out and said he wanted me to pay for another pair of shoes.

I was told by [redacted] 2 months ago if I took the shoes back to the place of purchase they would have to return the shoes to them and they would refund them, and the Kingline would reimburse me or exchange the shoes. Now Kingline and [redacted] are both refusing to fix the problem. Kingline's zip code states online as 91942, the zip code for that area is 92115 !!!Desired Settlement: I am really upset about this and I feel if I tell you that I want a refund that this is going to go unanswered, if I go back to Kingline they will most likly give me a replacement the shoes are $15.80 Vacation-S is the shoe. [redacted] says they are no have this shoe and that the shoes are made in Vietname therefore, I can't send the shoes to the manufacturer of the shoes, it must go through them since they are the Retailer.

Couple weeks ago, I received a massage from one of my employee that one of customer was looking for an owner to complaint about the shoes and

trying to exchange. And one day, she called to my store and I was available at work, so I spoke with her on the phone quite a long to serve the problem that she was complaint about. At first, I was listening about her complaints and I was trying to help her out to make the customer happy. However, my store has a police that every customer needs to provide a receipt to proof of purchase from us. When I asked her a receipt, she said that she doesn't have one because she purchased 3months ago, and no one keeps the receipt like that long time. Before that, when she was complaintning, she told me that she've already spoke with [redacted] which is the company who makes the style of Vacation-S, and she got authorized from the [redacted] to exchange the shoes from us and we can able to get a credit from the company. So, I asked her a person who she spoke and dicuss about that with. and she said, she don't know. I told her that as long as I'll get the information to speak with the person who gave her an authorization to exchange from us, then I'll help her out after I get the approve from the company. But she couldn't give me a information either. Even I asked that if she purchased a shoes from us with credit card, I'd take that as good evidence to help her out, but she said that she purchased the shoes with cash at that time. I was trying all my best to help her out at that moment, but without any proof of purchase, I can not able to help any customer.

After the conversation with her on the phone, my employee was telling me that she came by my strore couple times already, and first time when she visit our shore, she tried to purchased a shoes( VACATION_S) but, after she saw a price of the shoes, she complaint why the price went up, she said that she purchased from us $9.99 before. (we are selling shoes $14.99 at my store) then she left. when she next visit, she was asking a information about the shoes through my employee like sytle name, manufactor's name, and more.... and then next visit, she came to exchange the shoes and she told me that she've already spoke with [redacted] got an approved. I wasn't there at that time when she was visiting couple times. so no one could not able to help at that time. Finally, she got on the phone with me, it didn't work out becuase she couldn't proof of puchase.

And, I havn't sold that style shoes last 3months or within 6month to any customer except one regular customer.

I do remember that I had a exactly same situation like this last year or 2years ago. Same complaint, so, I exchanged the shoes to customer and complaint to the compnay. I think it's same person keep complaint in same way.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I brought the shoes from this company and as I stated before this is the second time that I had a problem with these shoes, when th shoes were brought back I asked for a receipt the old man told me no receipt would be given as he was giving me shoes to replace the defective ones. I am appalled at how they are now trying to spin the receipt issue. I was treated rudely by the old man and almost thrown out of the store, he further told me that the shoes only cost 14.99 and I could buy another pair, I did not have any dialogue with anyone about the shoes being 9.99 and the price going up.

My concern is the defective shoes, not the price and that they would tear up while walking, so no I do not accept the business Kingline's response to my complaint. I sent my shoes to [redacted], I have also asked about the shoes and they stated that the style that I was requesting was discontinued, however, Kingline is still selling the shoes.

I do want a refund or my shoes replaced and I do not want to deal with the rude old man, that tried to make me pay for shoes that were defective, as in the response they stated they have replaced these shoes before, however, what is the issue now when the shoes were presented to them?

There's no changes in my complaint. As long as the consumer can able to provide a proof of purchase, I would love to exchange the shoes that she was complaint about.
