Unicode","sans-serif # To Whom It May Concern, In response to the dispute claim filed by [redacted] on behalf of [redacted] [redacted] came back to Kings Optical year & weeks after the purchase date as she stated that the lenses for her glasses were damaged [redacted] wanted the lenses to be replaced at no charge, but I explained to her that we are unable to replace the lenses at no charge because it was past the year lenses warranty limitIn order to help [redacted] out we offered to give a discount of $off of the price for new lenses [redacted] refused the discount that was being offered and left the store A week later her daughter came to store to discuss being able to get the lenses replaced at no charge for her motherI reiterated to the daughter what was explained to [redacted] that unfortunately we are unable to replace the lenses at no charge because it was past the year lenses warranty limitThe daughter also inquired to see if we would be able to give a refund of $100’s back insteadI explained that due to our store policy we do not offer money back, we only offer store credit which is also listed on the receipt Since the daughter was not satisfied with the responses that were offered she started screaming and became very disrespectful to meAs well as started threaten me which is not acceptable and unprofessionalFor the safety of myself and the employees they were asked to leave the store as we do not take this type of behavior and any threats lightlyWe were not rude or disrespectful to the customers and we do not tolerate this type of behaviorAs this type of behavior does not help resolve any situations We understand that the customer and her daughter were upset but we are always willing to help our customers resolve any issuesAs we value our customers and want them to be happyThat is why we offered to provide a discount off of the lenses to try to help the customer outBut unfortunately we are not able replace the lenses at no charge since [redacted] came back to the store after the warranty had expired For example, if [redacted] contacted us within days of purchasing the glasses to notify us that there was an issue with the lensesWe would have asked her to come into to the store so we could inspect the lenses and help resolve the issues she was havingAfter inspection if it was determined that there was an issue with the lenses and they were defectiveThen we would have been able to replace them at no chargeSince we never received any phone calls or visits from [redacted] during the year timeframe of the warranty to let us know that there were any issues with the lensesThere is nothing we could do except offer a discount to help with the issue Because it has been over a year of wear & usage we are not able to confirm that the lenses are defective since they have been used for a long period of timeAnything could have happened to the lensesAfter inspecting the lenses when [redacted] came to the store it looked like the lenses were damaged from being exposed to heat, as the tint was not rising upAgain since it is has been so long since the purchase date we are not able to determine what caused the issueAlso since there are warranty limits we would not guarantee that we would fix the glasses or lenses at no charge as we know this is not possible If [redacted] would like to accept the $discount off of the purchase of a pair of new lenses we would be willing to help herOther than that we are not able to replace the lenses at no charge or provide any cash refund Thank you for your cooperation and understanding pertaining to this matterIf you have any questions please feel free to contact me Sincerely, [redacted] President
