Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I want to clarify a few things for the Revdex.com before I bow out of this futile attemptAs I stated before I know that I will not get my money backJust to be clear however I am not asking for all of itOnly a small portionYes, I did agree to pay for servicesYes the lawyer did draw up some forms, all of which I never sawHowever as far as the adoption papers go, we couldn't file them because he did not research whether we could file them or notWe were months away from being able to attempt thatWhat kind of lawyer just draws up papers without checking to see if it is within the parameters of the law to even file them? It's due diligence to double check one small simple thing before you do a lot of workHad he done this due diligence I wouldn't have been charged that $500+ dollars.
It was very difficult to get this lawyer on the phone and when I did it felt rushed and as if I was an inconvenienceI do not feel that I have "badmouthed" anyone; especially the entire practiceI simply put a review on Google as many people doI don't want another military family to go through this hassleAs the law firm is named after the lawyer that worked my case I did not know that there was more than one lawyer working thereThe support staff (paralegalss and secretaries were very kind)My issue is with this one lawyer and him alone.
When I went to his office to sign paperwork that was supposed to be done(but wasn't) he was very disrespectful, curt and rudeTwo of his staff were standing right thereMy bad experience was caused by this one individualI have worked with lawyers total in this situation in my life and I have had good experiences with all of them because they were honest with what we could and couldn't file and respectful above all elseTo in retort to his statement: "I believe she would have had a bad experience with anyone no matter what the outcome." Is simply humorous because as I previously stated I have worked with different lawyers in the two states and have all had a favorable outcomeThey were respectful and honestTwo things that I did not get with this lawyer

This person is not being fair at all. After agreeing to pay for my services by the hour, she then decided that even though I did...

the work she requested, she did not need it and therefore did not want to pay for it.  I spoke with her many times in person, by email and over the phone over a two month period, which she acknowledges in her complaint and then says that I never returned her phone calls. I prepared over 25 pages of documents for her, each time she decided she did not want to proceed in that way and needed to check with her out of state lawyer about which way to proceed. I performed more than 5 hours of work for her which she agreed to pay me for. In the end, her out of state lawyer said she should proceed in the other state and not in Colorado at all so since she could not use documents I prepared for her she asked that she should not be charged for them. I treated her with respect and honestly. I am sorry she had a bad experience, without me, but I am only one of the lawyers in this office and she has badmouthed the entire office to others.  I believe she would have had a bad experience with anyone no matter what the outcome. I wish her a wonderful life, but wish that she would be fair to me and my office.

I am writing this review to present my opinion of the services provided by Ron A. [redacted]. I found his work on my behalf not only unsatisfactory, but also unacceptable.
I was looking for a representation for a protection / restraining order case in Weld county, because the nature of the case was not simple.
When I talked to Ron A. [redacted] he seemed to be knowledgeable, open, and attentive. However, as soon as I paid him my retainer, I felt like he wanted me to do his job for him. In particular, he wanted me to go find the plaintiff’s place of residence. The temporary restraining order which had already been issued indicated I should not have any contact with accuser. So my investigating of plaintiff’s place of residence could put me in additional legal jeopardy. The consequences I was trying to avoid. Then when I asked him what we need to do to prepare for the hearing. His answer was that we will be alright. After that time, it became difficult to get hold of him up until the hearing date. When the time came for the court hearing, he was not prepared what so ever. It looked like he thought that he would walk in to the courtroom and win the case effortlessly. Nevertheless, the reality was opposite.
After the hearing ended, on the way to out of the court building in hallway, he shared with me that we lost the case because the judge was female and did the ruling based on hate to the male kind. When I asked him what could be done to reverse the court’s decision, his answer was that I could hire him again to appeal the judge’s decision.
I asked him for my money back. He said that in his opinion he did a great job. When I repeated my request that I want my retainer back, he shouted several times loudly at me that I needed to calm down, as if I was about to offend him.
In the conclusion: I would not recommend Mr. [redacted] to anyone. Based on the service he provided me I would have less legal troubles. Actually, I recommend staying away from his services entirely.
