Kingston Village Apartments Reviews (%countItem)

I have multiple maintenance requests that always show completed but the things that I put in for are yet still till this day are not fixed.
I moved into this apartment on July 5,2019. I did a walk through prior to moving in where I told "Shun" that of all the concerns I had where she told me she would have it fixed before we moved in such as someone installed soap dishes and left marks. When I moved into this apartment it was not cleaned at all, our oven racks were dirty, our fireplace was dirty, our window was cracked in our second bedroom and it still is. After 6 maintenance requests none of this is fixed. The bathroom toilet in the main bathroom never was fixed and it shows completed on more than one request. I just had to go to the office once again on October 16, 2019 and have a talk about my lease where I was told I would have to pay $727 for November's rent, plus $727 for my lease buy out, plus $636 x 3 for not giving them a 60 notice before moving out. I called corporate to get correct information on numerous occasions on the 15, and the 16 of October prior to me finally deciding that I have to move from over here. Corporate continuously kept transferring me to a receptionist that had apparently left for the day on both days and when I left a message with my phone number, I never received a call back. I cannot stay in a place where every time there is something wrong and I go to ask the staff in the office the reason why, they have an attitude... On Saturday October 6,2019 I called into the office and a lady by the name of *** answered the phone and I asked her the price of my rent ,because the last time I tried to pay the price that they quoted to me on line I had a $50 late fee added onto my rent and my water bill, and she told me it was $743 and I knew it wasn't right but she proceeded to tell me it was $743 three different times because I got a water bill for $68 and my rent is $727 and I knew that didn't add up to $743 so I had to do my own math and call back again and ask her do give me the right price so that I can get a money order for the correct amount in which she then told me it was $795 after asking and if I would've never kept calling back then I would've had to pay 3 days worth of late fees and I felt as though she tried to scam me to get more money out of me as we already pay enough and all of our stuff in this apartment wasn't and still isn't fixed. This is my first time renting anywhere and it has been the worst experience I've ever had to go through.

Desired Outcome

None of the things in our apartment have even been fixed. Our bathroom toilet, our dishwasher, our broken window, and it's a rat problem.

First, the noise that keeps me up EVERY night. Second is not having calls returned from corporate office. Third, unprofessional ism shown in office.
I moved into Kingston Village 5 years ago. It's nothing today as it was then. Two years ago, I moved to another unit for health reasons. The residents that moved into the unit above me have been VERY noisy since moving in. I dealt with it about 2 months, giving them time to get settled in putting up furniture, hanging pictures, etc., but the noise occurs DAY & NIGHT, mostly during the night hours. When I initially called the courtesy officer, the noise would cease for after he'd go upstairs. He'd most times come to my door first, in which he'd hear the noise himself. After the first few times, he stated that he was going to report the repeated noise & calls to him to the front office. He even gave me his cell number to call him directly if the noise persisted. I called one night & he told me to call the police dept. There was even a second courtesy officer that came out a night that I was waiting for him outside my door. He stated that he heard the noise from the parking lot as he was getting out of his vehicle. That's just how loud it was. I never heard anything from the front office pertaining to this issue. The noise quieted down somewhat for a few months. Apartment walls are thin so some noise is to be expected. The noise soon started again. This time when I called the courtesy officer, he had a nasty attitude & stated that Teion, the property manager stated that noise is a part of apartment living & everyone has to live. To a certain degree, yes, as previously stated, but noise shouldn't be to such a degree that it disrupts other residents peace and sleep. I later found out that the female upstairs had become a police officer & was a coworker of the courtesy officer. The noise that I experience sounds like bowling balls are being dropped & rolled on the floor. They have two children that they allow to run & jump all throughout the day & most of the night. When I did finally speak with *** she was nasty & rude. I even asked them in the office to come sit for a short period in my apartment one evening to listen for themselves what my family has to endure with. Neither took the time or cared enough. I've spoken with *** about the noise as well. She wasn't as nasty & rude as *** but uprofessionalism was displayed when she responded to me telling her how hard it is for my family to sleep at night or even enjoy a peaceful Saturday or Sunday evening. Maintenance has ALWAYS been VERY slow when it comes to resolving work orders. I reached out to *** who is the overseer of this property. She returned my call, listened to my issue(s) & stated that she'd take care of them. *** after hearing from her boss, called me afterwards attempting to be friendly & caring about my issues. Nevertheless, the noise continued, getting right back to the degree that it was initially. It took 3 months, (July-Sept) for maintenance to receive & install an AC unit, stating that *** wasn't allowing shipments from *** I had to purchase to tower fans for the back of my 3BR/2B unit, because *** only sent 1 window unit. And it was barely working. She stated that she couldn't take off any rent because they brought the window AC. I've attempted to reach out to *** again the first week Nov 2018 regarding the non stop noise that's still going on from upstairs. I've even called her at 3am/4am after being awakened by the noise, leaving messages on her voicemail. I have yet to get a return call from her. I've called corporate office, explaining the situation(s) & was told that they were emailing her & when they email her, she returns calls. I called EVERY week, 2-3 times a week, except the week of Thanksgiving. I stated that I now want to speak with *** supv. I have yet to hear from *** or her supv. I've had guests over that have questioned the degree of noise. I'm recovering from surgery. My mom stayed with me for 2 weeks & neither of us could rest because of CONSTANT noise, especially overnight. PLEASE HELP!!!

Desired Outcome

I NEED THE NOISE TO STOP! There should be consequences for ongoing circumstances such as this, or any other action that's disturbing neighboring residents! I want corporate to show some kind of concern! It's really sad that they won't even return phone calls! The unprofessional ism is now seen at the top! So it's no longer surprising that it's displayed in the front office! They're obviously only concerned with keeping units full resulting in their numbers looking good on paper! After the money, the residents mean absolutely nothing! I want a phone call from *** & her superior & an apology from both! It's been over a month since my initial phone call to the *** & then the corporate office! This is utterly ridiculous!! During the evenings until most times 10pm, it sounds as if I'm under the Kentucky Derby! There's a play area i front of our building for children to RUN AROUND ON! NOT inside of the apartment(s), especially if/when you're upstairs! I've started having & waking up with headaches due to lack of sleep! EVERY morning it starts back up between 4am-5am, it sounds as if a game of bowling is going on! The info in the reviews on your website is VERY ACCURATE!! The reviews on Kingston Village Apartments website is VERY ACCURATE as well! I'll be ecstatic when I can get out of here!!

I moved out of this apartment complex 7/31/2017. As of 11/08/2017, I have not received my deposit. Allegedly it was sent to the wrong address, twice.
I moved into this complex October 2015 and moved out July 31, 2017. *** manager inspected the apartment and was amazed at the cleanliness. It was move in ready. I was informed that I would receive my full deposit of $367.00 within thirty days. I provided a forwarding address of *** apt. *** as I was moving to *** for employment in the school system. I was able to look at the online system for rental payment to see that my deposit had been processed. As of mid September I started calling the office to see why I had not received my refund. I was initially told that it had been sent to a wrong address and was returned to them. I again provided the correct address and waited another thirty days according to them. In mid October I again started calling the rental office and spoke to both *** and *** on separate occasions. *** mentioned that although they had given their home office the correct address it was again sent out to the wrong address. Since then I have made a weekly call, still to no avail. On November 2nd, 2017, *** provided me with a number that was supposed to be the District manager's contact number. From November 2nd through November 8th I called the number no less than a dozen times only to receive a voicemail each time. I left several messages highlighting my concern.
On November 8th after not receiving a response from the district manager, I called the local office again and asked for another contact. *** claimed that that was the only number they had. Upon not getting the response I needed, I informed her that I'd take another course of action. It is with this determination that I am writing this complaint. As of this date, it has been 100 days. This is ample time for any situation to be resolved.

Desired Outcome

I expect to receive my deposit within the next ten business days or I will proceed to sue for additional damages. (By November 22, 2017)
