Kingwood Automotive Group Mazda/Kia Reviews (5)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint The red coolant light indicator was on because the reservoir sensor needed to be replaced as I indicated to Mazda when they mentioned it to me, it had nothing to do with the car's performance or what happened to my car on that day, its unfortunate that Kingwood Mazda is attempting to use such an excuse to justify the car not functioning and to say the indicator lite is part of the problem and this is not the case. Before my car went into Mazda it was functioning properly, I have had several oil changes from other local Mazda dealerships in Houston that was aware of the sensor and never have I experienced a problem with my vehicle breaking down as it did recently.I was not sure why Kingwood Mazda was pushing the sale of a rental on me as well as fixing the car, as I told them I could not afford both a rental and repairs, further more, I again mention the car had been working fine in all the years I've had it, there has never been an issue until it was at this dealership on that day.I am very appalled by the dealerships response and their actions regarding this matter.I hope a mutual resolution can be reached regarding this matter Regards, [redacted]

*** 26, for an oil change and to check for a fluid leak. We completed the oil change and investigated the fluid leak. The coolant light was on when the vehicle came in. The vehicle was low on coolant with none in the reservoir. The technician added water to the cooling system and it immediately started coming out from the outlet between the radiator and the reservoir. We did advise the customer that he should not drive the car or he could damage it more, possibly damaging the engine. We offered the customer a Parkway rental car for $19.95, which he declined. He said he was only driving the vehicle home a short distance away. He was advised again not to drive the vehicle and we offered to give him a ride home so he could leave the vehicle for repairs on Friday. We gave the customer an estimate which he had agreed on and we ordered a radiatorThe estimate was $for parts and labor. The customer chose to take the vehicle instead of any of the other options we offered him. He called and left a message after leaving that his car was acting up as he described in his letter Sincerely, *** *** *** ***

Sent: Wednesday, [redacted] 07, 2015 2:24 PM To: [redacted] Cc: [redacted] Subject: Complaint #[redacted]   [redacted],   Our records indicate that you came in for an oil change and for us to check for a fluid leak.  We performed the oil change and detected a fluid leak.  The vehicle was low coolant, not completely out yet, which is why it was not acting up prior to that time.  We advised you that you could damage the car if you continued to drive it with the leak.  The leak was apparently at the point where it was going to affect the performance of your vehicle.  The fact that it had worked previously meant that the leak had not been big enough to cause problems.  Left unchecked the problems grow.   The rental car at was offered to you as a way for you to have alternate transportation while your vehicle was repaired. It was not a requirement in any way.  We were not pushing a sale.  We were telling you what was wrong with your vehicle and what options were available to you from our dealership.   We ordered the radiator for your vehicle and can repair it at the price quoted to you.  If you wish us to perform the repair please call Andy Parker to make an appointment. We are sorry that you are disappointed in our service.   Sincerely, [redacted]
