Review: Mr [redacted] installed a new furnace in my home back in March 2009, and ever since is hasn't worked any longer than 4-5 months without some kind of services being done on it. I had my home weatherized by the city and they informed me back in Aug of 2012 that my furnace is installed wrong. I have had multiple repairs done on my furnace and even Mr. [redacted] himself came out this yr 2013 and repaired it and I had to pay him for the service. There has been 4 different companies tell me my furnace is installed wrong, but Mr. [redacted] continued to say that I is not because it is a multiposition furnace. The last repair man that came out from a different company actually explained to me how it is in wrong. It is a multi position furnace but it can be laid on either side or standing up right, but what Mr. [redacted] did was cut a hole in the back of the furnace, instead of laying it on either side or removing the removable door from the bottom. Which cause my air return to work harder and will eventually cause my furnace to go out completely. That in turn cancelled out my warrant through Goodman furnace who manufactured it, they informed because it is installed wrong the warranty is voided. My heat has not come back on since Aug of 2013 and it starting to get cold. I also have a monthly payment I make to a Protection Plan for my furnace, electrical, plumbing, etc in my home, and when they came out to service my furnace they also informed me that they couldn't even touch my furnace because it is installed incorrectly, and a whole is cut in the back. It wasn't even until a company came out back in mid 2011, than they discovered that Mr. [redacted] had left the owners manual in the furnace next to the blower for 2yrs and it started to melt, which could've cause my furnace to blow up. I paid Mr. [redacted] $1,900 to install the furnace in 2009, and have paid an add'l $200-$400 every yr since for repairs including to him & the warranty isn't even up until March of 2014 but it's voided out due to his installation.Desired Settlement: I want Mr. [redacted] to purchase me a new furnace and I will have it installed myself, because I no longer trust him and/or believe anything he says. I have it in writing that it is installed incorrectly and the hole is cut in the back. If Mr. [redacted] is unwilling to do this, I will proceed further with taking him to court and requesting my $1,900 and every amount I paid there after from different repairs done to my furnace, due to his negligence.
