Review: the car we purchased was bought with 51540 miles. the dealer "put" current inpection stickers 3/14. we bought the car out of state so when we went to get it state inspected there was over 2,000.00 worth of work that SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED under VA inspection laws that were not completed before putting inspection stickers on the car. There is NO way the car would have passed VA inspection with these issues. the car was inspected at around 51519 miles. theres no way the car was driven 21 miles after the inspection was completed and all these problems arose. when we test drove the car with [redacted] we pointed out to him that the car jumped when we put it in drive before pulling offm also the traction light and ABS light came on while testing the car and he said he would have it all looked at. here to find out the car jumped because the motor mounts were broken. also the shocks are busted. these are the majority of the costs that needs to be fixed. After test driving the car we walked in the building and [redacted] seemed like he was secretly talking with [redacted] because when we walked in they stopped and seperated. we questioned [redacted] on that but he said it was nothing. after signing the paperwork we ended up saying to [redacted] that we wanted to give the car back. we told him that everything just seemed negative and that it seemed like we were being fooled. We felt like people were saying things and staring at us as if we were just "suckered" into the deal. WELL I GUESS WE WERE. [redacted] also made comment of them being "shadey" but not to the extent I claimed them to be. We were there for 7 hours!! [redacted] told us they wouldnt take the car back so we were pretty much stuck. I didnt want to just leave it as I thought they could say we abandoned our property. considering the paperwork was never submitted to our state DMV I probably could have left it because it was not and is still not registerd to us.. we had to keep calling and faxing and leaving messages to have someone send the paperwork to Harrisburg. The dealership collected a high amount for tags and title transfer and for taxes but could not give us a breakdown on where the fees came from. [redacted] told us we would get a refund from PA DMV if they collected too much. [redacted] also guess the taxes on the car because he said they couldnt figure out Pa sales tax.. we would just like to get the car inpected legally as the way it was done was not legal. this car should not have been sold as if they legally inspected the car as outlined in VA inspection laws because it was not done. we could take it to any shop and they will tell us that the damage did not arise in a matter of 21 miles.Desired Settlement: our local maintenance shop has sent a quote and the dealer can mail a check directly to them.

Response:

In response to the complaint raised by **. [redacted] about his vehicle, we scheduled him to come in for us to inspect his vehicle with him present. After the inspection he agreed most of the recommendations made by [redacted] were maintenance items with two concerns remaining. The rear shocks and the front motor mount. Since the rear shocks were an issue with **. [redacted] and had nothing to do with the Virginia state inspection we agreed to replace the shocks at a discounted price for him which he agreed to. It was also agreed that we would replace the front motor mount at no charge to him.

Review: In September of 2011 we purchased a Ford F-150 from Kip Killmons Tysons Ford in [redacted], VA. The salesman at the time convinced us into purchasing total vehicle protection via an AutoArmor warranty protection for 559 dollars. We were convinced to make the AutoArmor purchase based solely on the salesmans promise that the AutoArmor plan would cover our vehicle for absolutely everything, including incidental scratches and ck chips in the pain for the life of the warranty. My wife and I made an explicit point of clarifying with the salesman this criteria before agreeing to purchase of the AutoArmor plan. To our surprise less than two years later the AutoArmor company informed us that incidental scratches and rock chip damage to pain was not in fact covered. Repeated efforts over days to request our 559 dollars back from this misrepresentation of the AutoArmor protection at the time of sale with several individuals at Kip Killmons Ford have all been ignored, forcing us to log this unresolved complaint. Unfortunately we did not check the Revdex.com or other cites monitoring car dealer records before purchasing our vehicle or we would have found that Kip Killmons Ford already had a F rating, warning us of the danger of fraud and misrepresentation with this particular dealership. Anyone wishing to purchase a Ford product would be best served by any of the other dealers in the area that have an A rating with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Requesting refund of 559 dollars for the purchase of AutoArmor protection on our 2011 F150 due to the total misrepresentation of what this warranty would cover at the time of sale.

Review: Sold me a vehicle at an auction without door keys and lied about it. I have to leave my car doors open and I contacted the auto auction they informed me that Tyson ford only gave them 1key and a gas key and that's what I have Tyson ford said he would give me a call back at 1030am it has been an hour. He also informed me that he lost money on the vehicle which I believe that has nothing to do with me. His customer service is horrible and he's a liar I will not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from Tyson ford in Virginia or Michigan I would like my door keyDesired Settlement: I want my door key please

Review: On 02/27/2013, I purchased a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, four door, four wheel drive, LT, white, VIN[redacted]. I was given a short list of repairs needed to be done in order to pas inspection in Maryland. I paid for it. I took the car home. The next day the car would not start. I had it towed to [redacted] Auto Mall for repairs and inspection to be processed. After the car was inspected, the car was found to be unsafe and life threatening to drive off the lot of the Tysons Ford dealership to [redacted] and there is an EXTENSIVE list of repairs needed in order to pass inspection. I have contacted [redacted], General Manager of Tysons Ford, 8 times with no return phone call or promise of full refund. Before purchasing the vehicle they gave me a list of about $1390 costs of repairs and after paying out of pocket to have the car towed to [redacted] Auto Mall, it failed inspection and was discovered that well over $3000 worth of repairs. Tysons Ford has been in posession of the vehicle for almost a month now, the title has never been provided, and it was paid for in full.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $3699 for the cost of the vehicle. $125 for inspection. $87 for the tow to [redacted] Auto Mall and have not yet received a bill for the secondary tow back to Tysons Ford.
