On Monday, April 27, 2020 I spoke with *** about a solid white 2015 Silverado 2500 truck listed online at the Greenwood, MS location. I asked Mr. if the truck had carpet, which most LT models have, and was told it did. After our conversation and looking at the pictures listed online about the truck, I made the decision to travel 550 miles round trip from Martin, TN to purchase the truck, and told Mr. I would be doing so the next day. Mr. said he would hold the truck for me as I emphasized again how far I would be traveling.
Upon arriving on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at the Kirk Brothers Buick, GMC (which is the name listed at the Greenwood location) to see the truck I was prepared to purchase, it was immediately obvious this was not the same truck presented online as advertised. There was no carpet as I was told and there was a 4-6 inch black stripe across each side of the truck. After showing Mr. the pictures on his website for the same truck, he offered no explanation saying this was the same truck and never offered to help find another truck.
I left and stopped in Grenada at the Kirk Brothers Ford to speak with the owner about my displeasure of traveling this far to see a truck that was grossly misrepresented. The owner was not available so we left. Afterward I received a call from ***'s father, Mr. about my stopping at his dealership to speak with him. I told Mr. about traveling so far and staying in hotel night before to see the truck which was not anything like the website nor what his son had told me. He apologized and went on to tell me about another truck that had 50,000 more miles for the same price and didn't know anything about the interior when asked. I'm particular and nearly 70 years old. My wife and I lost two days travel and hotel expenses to make this trip.

Mr. called asking me about the White 2500 which I thought was posted on our group website (***) where there was 30 plus photos of the truck. He was on our store site www.***brothersbuickgmc. which had stock photos of the truck not actual photos (our mistake) we have since gotten this corrected. Mr. asked me if the truck had carpet to which I responded (YES.) I did not take the time to go look inside of the truck since most LT Chevrolet trucks have carpet (My Mistake). Mr. had told me on the day before he drove down that he had been to a dealer before that misrepresented the truck he was going to look at. I assured him I was not going to do that (under the assumption he was looking at actual pictures on our site). Upon arrival one of my sales representatives pulled the truck around and began showing it to Mr., the sales representative came and told me Mr. was very upset. I went out to see what the problem was when he told me about the floor covering. I went and looked inside the truck seeing that it was rubber floor. I apologized sincerely and told Mr. the stripe could be taken off and that I genuinely thought the floor was carpet. I also told him and his wife I would be happy to pay for their fuel from the trip. I had no intention of misrepresenting the truck to anyone, it was just an honest mistake on my part. I would not have told a customer a lie about the flooring they would obviously see the minute they opened the door to the truck. I am extremely sorry for my mistake. It was an honest mistake and it was not an intentional misguiding of Mr.. Tell us why here...

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. acknowledged that he made several mistakes that DID misrepresent the truck we made the 550 roundtrip to see, whether intentional or not. We were told we could take the stripes off which were not in the pictures we saw, however, they did not offer to help resolve the matter by offering to take the stripes off themselves. My issue with the stripes is not knowing if the truck would have to be painted afterward. If they had offered to help with stripe removal and made an adjustment on the carpet I would most likely have purchased the truck and been satisfied. Offering to help with fuel seemed contrite.

I bought a car from Kirk Brothers on June 26, 2019. We had arranged for them to bring me a loaner car and they picked mine up on June 28,2019 to make a repair. Here we are 5 weeks later and many lies later and I still don’t have my car back. I’m still driving the loaner car. The car I bought is still sitting in their back lot near the shop, not fixed.

As of 8/8/2019 I received a call from *** at Kirk Auto. He said he had a check for me for $1,500.00 ( the amount of my trade in. He said he needed me to bring him the loaner car I had within the hour. I called my finance company and they said they were in the process of “unwinding “ my contract. So within a few days the loan would be taken care of and the contract voided. So I brought him the car and they gave me the check. The car was clean and had 3/4 of a tank of gas in it. I went to the bank and deposited the check. I’ll wait a day or two to see if the loan is forgiven and off of my name. I am very satisfied with this outcome.

I purchased a 2010 GMC Accadia 1 year ago. I've spent so much money getting that car fixed from day 1.. I am stuck a monthly car note and repairs this is an endless money pit!!!!
