Revdex.com, I have a few clarifications to make - 1st I informed [redacted] we would perform a General Motors Technical Service Bulletin procedureThis includes cleaning corrosion under the front wheel speed sensorsThis is a fairly common cause of ABS activation with no fault data and no ABS light which was the case on [redacted] vehicle I clearly cautioned [redacted] that if we had any issues attempting to remove the sensors that the sensor and/or hub and wheel bearing assembly would have to be replaced and we would try our best to not have this happen (( again [redacted] was advised )) before the repair was attempted - 2nd I informed [redacted] of the situation, on the second phone call, when we damaged the right front sensor while attempting to remove itThe next option was a new hub and wheel bearing with ABS sensor (a new, quality, [redacted] *** and wheel bearing) I told [redacted] that his "list price" was and to help with his cost I would deduct from his "list price" and the retail price to him would be To be clear, I never mentioned my cost for this part I also had a conversation with *** when he mentioned [redacted] or [redacted] hub and bearing costs that we were a retail repair shop and that we marked up parts charging list price, not our cost of the part - 3rd When *** brought up the cost of a [redacted] replacement part or a [redacted] replacement part, I informed [redacted] that we do not install these products due to previous experience with quality issues and high failure rates - 4th I will say in [redacted] defense, and to my own suprise, the following morning the ABS light was onYes, clearly it should not be and never was on to begin withI advised *** we needed the vehicle for a couple of hours to diagnose the problem and we would repair ASAP - 5th - I did pin-point an ohm resistance issue on the left front ABS sensor that we caused while attempting to clean rust and corrosion per the technical service bulletinI called [redacted] and told him we would like to replace the driver side hub and bearing assembly with another quality [redacted] product and there would be NO additional cost to [redacted] and that we would deliver the vehicle to his place of workThe vehicle now has two new QUALITY hub and bearing assemblies The original ABS activation has been corrected along with the new issue ABS light on issue when [redacted] attempted to pick up the vehicle I feel in closing we have corrected the ABS issues and we are certainly sorry for the added stress and frustrationWe will strive to communicate more clearly in the future to avoid these situations Thanks for bringing this to my attention [redacted] , **

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The issue has not been addressed properly as Kirsch's Automotive is still overcharging me for a part they damaged in the first placeKirsch's Automotive claimed the part from *** was $498, but, because of their mistake they were going to give me the part at their cost of $However, I called *** and the actual price of that part was $Before they even tried to fix the sensor they claimed that my hub was fine and never needed replacedIt wasn't until after they broke the sensor that my entire hub needed replaced. Before they began the service of my truck, the only thing *** informed me that could get damaged in the process were my brake rotorsThe reason he explained they could be damaged was because there was a lot of rust and they some how had to knock them off

Revdex.com,
I have a few clarifications to make
- 1st I informed *** we would perform a General Motors Technical Service Bulletin procedure. This includes cleaning corrosion under the front wheel speed sensors. This is a fairly
common cause of ABS activation with no fault data and no ABS light which was the case on *** vehicle. I clearly cautioned *** that if we had any issues attempting to remove the sensors that the sensor and/or hub and wheel bearing assembly would have to be replaced and we would try our best to not have this happen (( again *** was advised )) before the repair was attempted
- 2nd I informed *** of the situation, on the second phone call, when we damaged the right front sensor while attempting to remove itThe next option was a new hub and wheel bearing with ABS sensor (a new, quality, *** *** and wheel bearing) I told *** that his "list price" was and to help with his cost I would deduct from his "list price" and the retail price to him would be To be clear, I never mentioned my cost for this part. I also had a conversation with *** when he mentioned *** or *** hub and bearing costs that we were a retail repair shop and that we marked up parts charging list price, not our cost of the part
- 3rd When *** brought up the cost of a *** replacement part or a *** replacement part, I informed *** that we do not install these products due to previous experience with quality issues and high failure rates
- 4th I will say in *** defense, and to my own suprise, the following morning the ABS light was on. Yes, clearly it should not be and never was on to begin withI advised *** we needed the vehicle for a couple of hours to diagnose the problem and we would repair ASAP
- 5th - I did pin-point an ohm resistance issue on the left front ABS sensor that we caused while attempting to clean rust and corrosion per the technical service bulletin. I called *** and told him we would like to replace the driver side hub and bearing assembly with another quality *** product and there would be NO additional cost to *** and that we would deliver the vehicle to his place of workThe vehicle now has two new QUALITY hub and bearing assemblies. The original ABS activation has been corrected along with the new issue ABS light on issue when *** attempted to pick up the vehicle.
I feel in closing we have corrected the ABS issues and we are certainly sorry for the added stress and frustrationWe will strive to communicate more clearly in the future to avoid these situations.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention
