every single toilet and urinal after every eventThe urinal was working fine at the end of the prior event on May 25th when they cleanedIt overflowed when they attempted to clean at the end of her event, and we managed to get the clog through enough for it to drain, but really slowly before they left. I reported it to the brides mother at that time, and told her I couldn't refund her damage deposit until we determined if it was a maintenance issue on my part, or something done by her guests,
I was off the next day, and on Tuesday, I found that plungers don't fit urinals, and draino would mess up my aerobic septic system, so I called a plumber referred to me by someone elseI didn't know him and had never met him, or spoken to him beforeWhen he arrived, I just showed him and his assistant how slowly it drained when flushed (without telling him anything about how I thought it happened)He took the urinal off the wall, and ran a snake and pulled out a huge plug of paper towels like the ones that are in the wall dispensers by the sinks for drying your handsHe said that my urinal still looked like new with absolutely no buildup of any kind, and that the only cause of the drainage problem was someone putting paper towels in a urinal and it would have clogged it up right then, because it is meant to hold only urine, and not paper products (except maybe toilet paper that would dissolve), and that drain holes in urinals isn't very bigHe did advise me to get the inserts they make to serve as filters in the bottom of urinals to catch gum or whatever else future customer are likely to drop in them

I deducted the plumbing bill from their refundable damage deposit to cover the cost of the damages that were caused by their guest's actionsI obviously can't have cameras in the men's room to prove this was done by their guest, but since it was working at the end of the prior event, and their people would have reported it to me if it hadn't worked and had overflowed during their event, and a paper towel would have clogged it almost immediately, I logically concluded it must have been done by someone near the end of their eventI believe my actions as a business owner to be totally logical, fair, and ethicalI regret that this happened with their event, but I can't absorb costs incurred by guests behaving irresponsibly

I sent you the pictures of the commode flushing just fine and if it was clogged so bad with paper towels then it would have overflowed all over the floorShe indicated that her staff flushed all the commodes cleaning and not one indicated that it overflowedHer issue is a maintenance issue and until she can prove that a plumber was out there prior to the event and not her staff, then she cannot say that it wasn't a problem before the eventShe was coming with any excuse necessary to keep the depositBut we went into the men's restroom with her and took the video and the urinal flushed fine and if it would have all the paper towels she stated then it wouldn't have flushed at all it would have overflowed all over the floorsThe bottom line is she doesn't maintain her facility like she should and she want to blame the people that utilizing her facility for damages which is not fair to the people using her facilityFirst she said it was socks stuffed in the urinal now she is saying paper towelsShe need to stick with the truth and be honest about the situation
