I'm a customer of KUA and although I understand and support the deposit structure, I think that a customer in good standing for a year without late payments or any other billing issuesI have an excellent credit file and have made all of my payments timelyGood customers should not be penalized for having held as a deposit

A monopoly of the worst kind
KUA is a regional monopoly when it comes to powerThey are the sole choose and optionWhen I set up an account I was charged $up front because my credit was "subpar" they were very kind and required this $deposit upfront in two convenient paymentsThis $was ridiculous as an up front amount charged as our monthly bill is typically 50-KUA has held that money for year nowCollecting interest on it and refuses to issue a refund until we cancel our serviceThe thing that upsets me is due to over site my bill is a whopping days past dueI never received any ast due, collection notices and no advance notice that regardless of the $they have of mine they cut the power while I was at workI now arrive home with my very pregnant wife to a dark house, spoiled food, no customer service line and a $charge to reconnect my powerThis company is an absolute joke! They are literally the only option, they have absurdly unrealistic depos

Protocol for ending service

On June 6th I called KUA to find their protocol for ending service, and stopping their auto-deduct from his account, and forwarding final bill to me, his POA
On June 9th, I brought to their office a certified certificate of death, a copy of my POA, as they required, made arrangements to stop service at his address on June 20th,to stop auto deduction from his bank account,and to send final bill to my address
On July 9th I mailed a check #*** for the final bill for service ($58.71) with a note it was not necessary for continued service as he was dead
I do not understand the $service charge that was attached to the final bill, nor the delinquent, overdue charges of $now from their collection agency dated July 12,
