We hired Kitchens By Kerrie in Feb of 2016. Kerrie never finished our kitchen and walked away from our project with our money.
We payed Kerrie $70,000. to complete our kitchen project. It started out well with a successful total removal of the original kitchen/demo in March, 2016. Kerrie rarely returned to our home. Her installer/husband, did the "work" and became the GC. He left us without a kitchen for 9 weeks, and showed up sporadically. As they disappeared for weeks, while we were living with no kitchen, they would not respond to our attempts to reach them. Reluctantly, we finally had to leave Florida in May 2016 to head north (for a surgery) with a promise that while we were gone over the summer months, Kerrie would complete our kitchen. Over the 5 1/2 months we were gone, Kerrie's Company showed up to work on our project 5 days. We came back to Florida in October 2016 to a nightmare. Kerrie had sent unqualified workers to our home. They not only destroyed our kitchen project with shoddy work, but they left the rest of our home a total mess. The details are gross! They treated our home like a porta-potty. So disrespectful! As soon as we saw this disaster, I tried to reach Kerrie and her husband, Peter, by phone, text and email to return immediately, without the proper response. Before we arrived in Florida, Kerrie told me our kitchen was finished and cleaned. However when we walked into our house, we found appliances in the middle of the floor, nothing hooked up, filth throughout our home, faulty electric, a sink that was loose & dropping, plumbing installed wrong, cabinets hung crooked and nothing level. Large cracks and dings in the cabinets, gouges in our new wood floors, the mounting kit for the new dishwasher was missing along with other parts that we ended up re-purchasing. The tubing that connects the ice maker was shoved into the drywall and wasn't connected to anything. When the water was turned back on, we had a leak behind the drywall! The opening for the fridge was the wrong size and hence, the fridge sitting in the middle of the kitchen! There is more to this list of offenses, but, basically, we had to hire a reputable electrician to re-wire and bring it back to code, hire a plumber to fix all the mistakes, and a trouble-shooter carpenter to rebuild our kitchen. Kerrie had the audacity to send us a bill for an additional $7000. We returned the bill with a registered letter that was returned to us. Kerrie is still in business, and we hope she will never cheat and destroy another home. She can be very convincing about her expertise, and no one should believe her. We ended up paying a high price for her dishonesty. It is now March of 2018, and our kitchen remains unfinished. It's been two years of ***! Some of the mistakes are irreparable.
At this point in time, we require no further contact with Kitchens By Kerrie. We severed ties to that company over a year ago. As we try to make sense of how someone could be so dishonest, and continue to remain in business, we feel compelled to allow others to know our story and not be "taken" as we were.
I am extremely passionate about my company & have upheld an A+ standing with the Revdex.com & advocate for your company for years. I recently lost a project due to this complaint posted on your website (which is certainly untrue). Will you kindly please remove this negative commentary about me and my company?

After Kitchens by Kerrie walked away without finishing our kitchen, and stole our money, we Not only had to find someone to put our kitchen back together, but also to repair the damage done by Kerrie's company. It took us over 3 years and a lot of frustrations to fix her damage. We ended up paying substantial additional costs. We contacted her cabinet supplier to plead for help with our mess, and they were kind enough to send us a rep to help troubleshoot. They reported to us that they cancelled Kerrie's account with them. I wrote to Revdex.com to provide an honest, detailed, and accurate account of what happened to us as a major warning to anyone wanting to hire Kerrie's company. People can draw their own conclusions. I do not wish for my report to be removed. I only wish that Someone had warned us before we ended up in the midst of a kitchen nightmare!
I am very sorry and upset that you had a negative experience with us. I have been in business for over 14 years & I am passionate about what I doI loved designing your kitchen and working together with you. If we fell short of that with you, I sincerely apologize. However, a number of things do need to be stated in response to your review. First, we never stole money from you. To the contrary, I actually went out of pocket around $10,000 dollars paying for extra things that you wanted. In addition, *** gave me a deposit for the bar area (a project that was to be done in the near future), and I gave it back to you because I didn't want the deposit until the project was scheduled.
Next, I never walked off your job. I put in months of hard work on your designs and your kitchen. When you arrived back home you called me with excitement that you loved your kitchen. I provided a punch list of things that still needed to be completed along with action plans. Before we ever started your kitchen, it was agreed that I would not be available for 2 weeks as my son was having surgery in Chicago. And we were both on the same page that your kitchen was not going to be completed before I had to leave. I don't know what happened during those two weeks but the next thing I know, I am fired and you are angry with me. The cabinet company asked me to step aside and let them handle it. I wish you would have still allowed me to be involved because I knew that project inside and out and I would have been an asset to ensure everything was properly completed. I do not know what transpired that I am not privy to. I do know that it was my sincere desire to give you the kitchen we had so much fun designing together.
