Kitchen's Exterior's and Additions

Review: [redacted] was the owner of Kitchen's Exteriors and Additions in 2013 until March/April 2014. He replaced our original roof in 2011 when he was a [redacted] contractor and completed roof repairs after a tree fell onto our garage roof in June 2012. We contacted him after deciding to renovate our home due to the history of the previous two years. What my husband and I did not realize was he no longer had an experienced crew working with him but 17-19 year old students from a course he taught at the local high school. One thing for sure he cannot execute and complete a project independently.When [redacted] refused to sign a contract with the tile guy he hired the guy quit. He wrote a non sufficient funded (NSF) check to me to refund the tile part of the renovation.He did not have a license to work in the County because he had not paid his taxes and he had never applied for a permit for this reason. Yet he continued to lie to us by blaming it on two County building and compliance officials.Nothing he does is his fault and lying is a regular way of life for him. It is clear he will lie to and on anyone and do anything to keep from giving back money he does not deserve to keep.He is pathetic and sneaky and gets mad when the truth is revealed to him about himself and his less than shady business practices. We withdrew money from our retirement savings to complete the renovations and it is not fair for [redacted] to keep our money when he knows he did not complete the job. He left the room and our yard in a mess and still has our money. But we had to restore our home to our comfort level so we obtained the required permits and sub-contracted the work to a REAL contractor who has execution skills. He corrected all [redacted] short cuts except the door [redacted] cut and framed crooked. [redacted] reinvents himself after a customer gets to see and know the real him. Is this why [redacted] cut their ties with him? We too now know what is meant by untrustworthy, it is [redacted]Desired Settlement: We want the $5289.26 he owes us and nothing else to do with him because we do not trust him.

We have not been contacted by nor communicated with one [redacted] since Friday, April 25, 2014 when he made the appointment with my husband to come by and bring a cashier's check to us to return the money he had been paid for materials purchased but not provided to us and for work he was paid to do but did not. He came with a mouth of lies but no check. Nothing received regarding complaint #[redacted].
