Review: August 2011 Kitchens Made New refinished my front door including a urethane clear finish to protect the finish at a cost of $875. After just two years the door's finish is peeling damaging the wood finish. After several conversations with [redacted], mother/manager to [redacted], her son/owner, as well as sending several emails and text messages at [redacted]'s direction to [redacted] requesting he contact me to resolve this issue; neither return calls as [redacted] indicated they both would do so. Not only is the workmanship poor by this company/person, but they do not respond when a problem comes to their attention. [redacted] informed me she/or he will definitely call on a specific date and failed to do so. I would not recommend them for any type of work. The listed Calif. Contractors License is #[redacted].Desired Settlement: Return $875 for the poor workmanship.
Review: I did business with this company in 2007 and was thoroughly satisfied. When I needed another cabinet I contacted them so that the new one would match the rest - however my feelings toward this company have completely changed! I don't know what happened -- but today I'm saying Do NOT under any circumstances do business with this company!!!!! I gave them a deposit in January to buy "production time". Four months later they still had not started! They gave me a date for installation and never showed up! Despite my constant calls and emails - I didn't hear back from them for 2 weeks! If you're buying a $5,000 plus cabinet I expect better service!!!!! Finally they came and installed - then the door on one of the cabinets fell apart after TWO OPENINGS! I contacted them - they DID NOT RESPOND! I am so angry at this company and their service- I will never do business with them again and highly recommend against them!!!!!! And the quality of their work had degraded 100% over the last 5 yrs!!!!! Oh - and I had to do a lot if the finish and clean they previously promised to cover! Thank god I'm handy!!!!Desired Settlement: I just want the shoddy work corrected!
