Kitsap Auto Outlet stands on its reputation of integrity and excellent customer service before, during and after the saleMr*** was more than willing to enter into a legal and binding contract to purchase a vehicleHe is an adultHe was not forced, misled or held captiveNow it seems that the longer he has to think about it the more false, slanderous and fabricated accusations he comes up withNot to mention threats of retaliationIt's come down to where our company policy is now that all conversations with Mr*** are to be witnessed by a minimum of one or more personsKitsap Auto Outlet is not interested in engaging in a battle with any individual to defend itself from false, slanderous and made up accusations.
Kitsap Auto Outlet has stated our desire many, many times (to Mr***) to have his vehicle fixed for him at no chargeWe are ready to make arrangements to have the vehicle repairedWe just need Mr *** to call us and arrange itOur hands are tied as long as Mr*** refuses to accept our offer to serve

The following is Kitsap Truck & Tractor's response to the complaint ID# [redacted] filed by [redacted].
When [redacted] informed us that he was having leak issues after purchasing the vehicle, we promptly requested that he bring the vehicle in so we could have it...

repaired for him. Leak repair is a specialty repair so we took the vehicle to a local leak specialist and paid that company to fix the leak issues.  We returned the vehicle to [redacted] after the repairs were completed. [redacted] then informed us that the vehicle was still leaking, so we requested that he bring it back and we would have the vendor correct the problem as they had been paid to do. [redacted] refused to bring the vehicle back in and allow us to have it fixed.
When [redacted] called the dealership on 1/14/2016 and spoke to the owner, there were four people present to witness the phone conversation. [redacted] was politely informed by the owner that the conversation was being witnessed by multiple persons. Over the course of the next ten minutes, the owner politely asked [redacted] a minimum of eight to ten times "Will you bring the vehicle in so I can get it fixed for you". [redacted] repeatedly evaded and refused to directly answer that question. He would reply with "I just want it back on your lot for good", or "I will not answer that question right now". Finally toward the end of the conversation the owner asked [redacted] why he was refusing to allow us to have the vehicle repaired for him. [redacted]'s reply was "I won't bring it in right now because I have not decided yet if I am just going to file for bankruptcy or not".
The owner explained to [redacted] multiple times that we had already paid the vendor to fix it and that we would hold them accountable for the repairs and get it fixed properly for him.
From the beginning to the of the conversation on 1/14/2016 it seemed as though [redacted] was only interested in getting out of the contract to buy the vehicle, rather than having it fixed.
   Thank You

I am rejecting this response because:The response from the business does not address the advertisement for the Jeep I attached, nor does it address my concern or request.  The owner's personal opinion of me has nothing to do with my complaint and their advertising practices. The owner does not know me well enough on a personal level to make any claims about me as a person, and any such claims are irrelevant at this point. Also, to say they have multiple records of helping me is false. The only assistance I received was learning how to turn off the dome light.  In fact, when I posted a complaint on Facebook about having to replace the battery, headlight, and tail light within a week, I got yelled at, not assistance. Yet I removed my complaint anyway. To continually point out that I am intelligent is meaningless. Yes, I am intelligent, that does not mean that I know anything about cars, that is not what I specialize in.  Again, I refer to the picture in their ad on Facebook.  It is very clear to every person I have shown the picture to, that the implication is that this is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.  In fact, if you look at the ad, there is no title at all, simply a picture of the Jeep featuring the word "Rubicon" predominantly in the center of the picture.  Yes, I should have read the paperwork I was signing more thoroughly, unfortunately I didn't.  Like any other reasonable consumer, with no knowledge of Jeeps, I assumed it was a Rubicon because the picture in the ad showed it was a Rubicon and no one told me it wasn't a Rubicon.  If a situation like this ever comes up again, I would highly suggest the owner remove any misleading stickers to avoid something like this happening again.Again, I am asking for the dealer to simply take this Jeep back and either pay it off or put me in another vehicle that I am not $7000 negative equity in. I am making a very reasonable request, if this can please happen asap, none of us need to deal with each other ever again.

I am rejecting this response because:Yes, the dealer is correct that the loan documents I signed do not state that the Jeep is a Rubicon. I did not notice that when I was signing the paperwork. However, the pictures of the Jeep in their ad on Facebook feature the hood with the word "Rubicon" dominant in the picture. Any reasonable person would assume from the pictures alone that this is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. More importantly, the dealer did nothing to ensure that the buyer was fully aware the Jeep was NOT a Rubicon.Regarding the history of the vehicle....the dealership doesn't even know themselves...I informed them of the vehicle history after another dealer got it for me. As for me being current with my lender, I am...it was brought current that same day. That being said, I am not looking for another vehicle from the dealer at this point, I simply want them to take the fake Rubicon back and pay it off so I can get a vehicle. After Casey, the owner, received the letter from the Revdex.com, he came to me in the parking lot and told me (in front of my 9 year old daughter) that I made his life a living nightmare with my complaints and that he was not going to do anything else to help me because I hadn't given him a chance to help me first. The reality is, I went to the dealership before I contacted the Revdex.com in the hopes they would do the right thing and straighten out the situation. I was told there were new people there and I didn't see Casey there at all. Casey's aggressive reaction towards me in the parking lot has led me to believe that my only option for any resolution is for the dealership to do the right thing and pay the Jeep off and keep it so that I can get a safer vehicle for myself and daughter.
Sincerely,

Greetings.    The customer was informed about the conditions of financing when they purchased the vehicle. When we were unable to secure financing as written, we called and informed the customer and asked them to come in to the dealership. The customer came in to the dealership and...

signed a rescission agreement.    The customer was then offered a different financing option and rejected it. Since then, the customer has purchased a vehicle elsewhere.Randy W[redacted]

To whom it may Concern; In response to the customers complaint.  The vehicle she purchased was fully disclosed as a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport.  It states it in documents she signed.  The same disclosure was given to the lender in which we obtained financing for her.  The...

purchase price on the Jeep was $16,000 not $18885.  The price the customer purchased the Jeep Wrangler for was substantially below the blue book value. She did put down $3000 as a down payment to attempt to cover the “negative equity” from her trade-in. With the inability to obtain financing with credit unions or non-secondary lenders the down payment was a requirement to lower her amount financed to meet the approval we could obtain.  The history of every vehicle is available to every customer.  We make it very clear on our website that a history report is available on every vehicle we have for sale. The vehicle advertised as an Expedition on our website when she came in, was an Expedition.  The Explorer she thought it was, was an Explorer that looked similar.  They were both white SUV’s.  They were both Ford products and parked next to each other. When she came in to trade her Wrangler we contacted the lender to attempt to get an approval on a new vehicle, it was unsuccessful.  Do to the current circumstances between the customer and current lender we can’t get a new approval until their agreement becomes current.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
There are issues with my complaint that are not addressed in their response, as well as some additional points I would like to make.
-Being deceived on the value of my trade. Was assured by Casey and Akeem my vehicle was only worth $9000 and would not sell off their lot for months. The trade in value on my vehicle was appx $4000-$5000 more, and it was purchased within appx 1 week of being advertised due to it's fantastic condition and extremely low mileage. It was not only until I insisted that the salesman changed the options within his software to reveal the true value of my vehicle. He is a nice person and it may have been unintentional, but the fact of the matter is I became increasingly frustrated throughout the entire negotiations process due to this.
-My vehicle was driven unauthorized to Bremerton from the dealership by an employee. I gave no one permission to drive it. I was told by Fred (Service Mgr) it was to be fixed on site. More fuel out of my pocket and mileage tacked on dealing with the dealer after the fact.

-I informed Fred the windshield/hardtop seal, the door seals, and something on the firewall were all leaking and freely letting water pour into my vehicle. Originally, their solution was to 'rip the carpet out'. He assured me they would all be addressed.  I was informed after picking my vehicle up from the failed repairs that the hardtop/windshield seal was not replaced. But the other 3 areas were fixed. So far 2 of the 3 areas are still leaking.

-The base model vehicle I purchased was priced at and advertised on their site as a premium/upgraded package with features it does not have. It is no longer visible on their website's recently sold list.

- I was told I would not be allowed to take my trade-in back before putting pen-to-paper for the Jeep I purchased.  That is false.

- I was told by Akeem on January 19th over the phone that I was to be called by Casey or another representative with a solution and have yet to hear anything back as of 2pm January 22nd

- I called nearly every day for 2 weeks and left my name and number to be called back on the issue and never received a call back. I took initiative each time and reached out, no calls were ever returned after the sale.

-Yes I did mention bankruptcy out of pure frustration, and getting the vehicle back to their lot is my end goal. I will not deny that. I also did not answer the question as to when I want to bring the vehicle back because my work and wage do not allow me to lose hours and spend over $100 to drive back and forth from South Hill/Puyallup to Kitsap Auto Outlet, so I couldn't give them a definitive answer. That is the majority of my grocery budget for 2 weeks, and am paid bi-weekly.  Between the rental, my vehicle's fuel, the rental vehicle's fuel, and the time I lose at work, I spend/it costs me well over that each occurrence.

Does the vehicle still need to be fixed? Yes it does. Do I know when I can get back there? No I do not. I have other financial obligations and responsibilities that take priority,  and still need to eat.

I still would like the dealer to purchase the vehicle back for the full value minus the amount of the extended warranty I purchased. I am willing to: let the dealer keep the new audio equipment that is installed, as well as keeping the foglights operational (otherwise I will disconnect and disable them as they did not work when I purchased the vehicle), get the oil changed, fully detail the interior, and pay the dealer/doc fees.  I will continue to pursue other solutions in the meantime.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
