Review: I brought a light coat to have the sleeves shortened. They shortened the sleeves, however, they ruined one of the sleeves as they sewed and removed the stitching several times making holes in the sleeve. The coat is ruined. My wife brought it back to them and at first they denied doing it but when she showed them the receipt, they said to leave it and she would fix it. I picked up the coat this afternoon and it is the same, actually she didn't complete sewing it. I confronted her and told her the coat is ruined and that she is responsible for paying me for the coat. I never wore the coat, it was brand new. Due to a language barrier, she only said "I don't know, coat no good, tailor make this". I told her she is responsible for the coat and that she needs to pay me for it. She kept saying "I don't know, this coat no good". I told her if she couldn't fix it when I dropped it off, she should have told me to take it elsewhere. This was really frustrating as she wouldn't even refund the $20.00 she charged me for shortening the sleeves. All she said was "I don't know, don't come back no more, I don't pay nothing". So I told her how can she run a business treating people this way. She was extremely rude and dismissive. She used her language barrier as an excuse to not take responsibility for ruining my coat. This was a coat purchased at Banana Republic and it cost $159.99 plus tax. Since the coat is a Light Mustard color, the removal of the stitching is very noticeable and with time, it will start to become more apparent. Please try to get my money back as it is really unfortunate that I have to go to this sort of thing. She was so rude and unreasonable. Anything I suggested she said "no and no and I don't know, tailor not pay". She is the tailor there and would not accept responsibility nor be accountable for her wrong doing. Please assist in any way possible.
