KJ's Professional Lawn Care

Review: KJ's Professional Lawn Care, LLC owes me the sum of $648.40, the sum of a down payment for work that did not take place. Scheduled landscaping services, paid for in advance at $690.40, which also included the cost of purchase for mulching product, were cancelled by myself on June 13th, due to recent property damage and unsatisfactory work on the part of KJ's Professional Lawn Care and associates on the same premise during a mowing service June 13th, 2014. I entered into two agreements with KJ'sA. Weekly lawn mowing and trimming to begin the week of June 2, 2014. 1. To be billed, and then paid weekly at $40/visit. 2. Customer could cancel recurring appointments anytime.B. One time whole yard landscape maintenance. 1. Work and products were to include: a. Shrub trimming for all shrubs and bushes on the premises. b. Pulling and trimming of weeds in all flower beds. c. Mulching product in quantity sufficient for the job; approximately 3-6 cubic yards. d. Covering all flower beds bordering the house and walkways with mulching product. e. Edging (in the form of digging)of: 1. One front flowerbed bordering the grass lawn. 2. One back right corner flowerbed. 3. Flowerbeds bordering the left side of the house. 2. To be paid: half before scheduling, and half upon completion, totaling $1,290.00. 3. No deposit or reservation fee was requested or discussed.Friday June 13th, I contacted Samuel R[redacted], owner of KJ's, about the poor quality of the mowing that day and property damage including turf torn from the ground and a bush that was badly damaged. During our phone discussion I told Mr. R[redacted] I was not comfortable continuing to do business with KJ's and asked to cancel the one time landscaping that was scheduled. Mr. R[redacted] agreed, but later refused claiming that "some" of the work was started. I saw no evidence of this, nor did Mr. R[redacted] make this claim when he initially agreed to the refund.
