Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:It is untrueAs you can see in the attached images, the diagonal rebar was not in the slab when the concrete was poured though I do agree and acknowledge that the slab does look nice, it is not done as specified by the engineer in the plan that *** was providedFurthermore, as you can see from the attached screenshots, *** was clearly referring to the wall guys as his crewI paid ***, not the men working on the jobEverything that is being said is a complete fabrication of the truth and I have multiple text messages and videos to prove itI was never provided with a pre pour list of any kind, nor did I sign anything, whatsoever saying that I agreed everything was done to my approval before the pour*** doesn't have such a document and if one were provided, I'd testify in court that it wasn't my signature and I'd be happy to have a handwriting analysis done if he tries to falsify anythingMy signature is not an easy one to copy.

If the job wasn't done correctly prior to the pour then why would the homeowner have stood right there and allowed the pour to happen. She was completely content with the job and excited about the progress. The foundation being unsatisfactory was never even talked about until this whole ordeal with the basement walls being unsatisfactory. I have text that clearly state that the amount to do the walls were my cost. I did not figure in any profit on that portion because I am not really familiar with that type of work and didn't want to be responsible. Yes, she did give me a check to give to the guys for the materials and a portion of the labor. I did not pocket any of those funds nor did I sign any kind of a contract on the basement walls, therefore I am not responsible for that phase of work. As far as the foundation goes, I do have a contract and it clearly states everything that was to be done. The upper porch and garage were not done yet because they have to be done after the basement walls are complete. I only invoiced for the work that was completed. If she wasnt happy with the foundation, then she obviously wouldn't have cut a check for it......anybody would know that. She is just upset about the situation with the basement walls and now saying that the foundation is not good because the foundation is really the only thing I am responsible for. Upon request by the Revdex.com , I will gladly submit Not only the contract for the foundation but also the invoices for each phase of the foundation and confirmation of each payment received. I have been in business for 10 + years and this homeowner is by FAR the most difficult individual I have ever had to work with. This is the reason why I didn't contract the basement walls and only helped her put together the cost for materials and labor only to try and help her recover lost funds that she claims the first concrete contractor took from her and didn't finish the job. I truly feel like she came at me with the anger that was accumulated from the previous contractors.

This information is not true and incorrect. The foundation was completed exactly to plan and the home owner made the pre pour inspection and signed off on it prior to the pour. The foundation turned out beautiful. Si ce then, I had agreed to help the homeowner by finding her a masonry contractor,...

mainly because we were friends and have known each other 20 + years, to build the block walls for her basement. The contractor was referred to me by another general contractor and I helped her figure the job as to what it would cost for materials and the masonry contractors labor. There was no profit figured into the job for me, the foundation contractor. I was only helping her out of the goodness of my heart. The masonry contractor turned out to be not so good by doing substandard work. She fired the masonry contractor, which I dont blame her, and then proceeded to blame me for the bad job and that I needed to pay her back what was paid up to that point. I did not contract this portion of the work, only the foundation which is complete and 100% Satisfactory. I do not in anyway feel responsible for the damages caused by the masonry contractor. She ultimately made the decision to allow the contractor to do the job. I did not charge her a fee for the contractor. It's unfortunate that it turned out this way and I feel bad for her but I am not responsible because I didn't contract this portion of the project.
