On 9/9/2014, I took my vehicle to the xxxxx location for an inspection. I advised the technition that I had a claim pending for minor passenger side marker dent and lower side bumper damages.I needed my 09 Ford Focus inspected to renew my tags as soon as possible, so I was going to inspect and renew prior to the repairs. After waiting about 40 minutes, I was advised that the car failed due to extensive damages. The quote to fix the car just to pass was 900.00 to 1000.00. I was alarmed right away. According to xxxxx, my car needed side marker lamp, right front headlight was cracked and was off mount severely pointing in the 12 o clock position ,two fasteners broken,. By steering mechanism , front end was needing alignment (with rear wheel & 4x4 SHIMMING & CAMKITS EXTRA). Struts(both right and left) leaking fluid and needed replaced. Upon charging me the inspection fee, the service technition mentioned that the steering mechanism failed due to the front end alignment and the struts. The headlights and parking lights failed due to the light damages. As a single lady with a fairly nice vehicle with low to moderate mileage ; I was shocked at his damage accusations. I have since taken my vehicle to three other repair shops for estimates. Two being collision and one being inspection. The inspection station changed the clamps and mounted the headlight, changed the bulb on the marker lamp, and inspected the steering mechanism.It was declared that this is not even a requirement and not an issue. My car passed inspection with $30.00 in repair bills.As for the collision, no damage to the struts was determined.
As a single lady, and a "Business" scholar I understand that sales and service are an important part in the business sector, however the highest in importance is honesty and integrity pertaining to customer service. I am a single lady that works (2) jobs to pay for my education and living expenses. I try to keep my vehicle well kept with maintenance issues. With this in consideration, Word of mouth weighs heavily in the advertising scene. I hope this franchise will consider this complaint and try to resolve it. As for the station that treated me fairly and with integrity, I will announce to my many college classmates ,as well as my friends and family that they will always service my vehicle in the future,and that I highly recommend this business for theyre customer service.
