In regard to the consumer complaint notice we received from your officeOn March 27, Mr [redacted] called and requested service due to his pump not operatingI dispatched employees to go to Chiloquin to find out what was wrongMy employees replaced the horsepower control box as to which he was billed $We get our pricing sheets from our distributor, therefore charge the recommended costWe are a small business and not a wholesaler therefore cannot buy in bulk like the chain stores and Grovers as Mr [redacted] said he purchased the same items fromIn order to buy Xylem products you are required to be a licensed pump installerSince we are a small business we are a retailer When Mr [redacted] called, he was told he would be billed from shop to shop and not mileage, plus any parts to be used.Once again, Mr [redacted] called our office and complained about the cost as he was very adamant that in there were laws against price gougingI am not sure of the relevanceHe was told he could bring the part back if he was not using itI’m not sure what he is referencing to when he states the diode was outThere are minimal components is a horsepower control box, which are a capacitor, relay, and terminal blockOn the complaint filed he states that he purchased the pump repair on 1/28/I am attaching a copy of the job work order of when the work was requested, copy of the pricing from the manufacturer and a copy of his billing.We do not offer discounts for veterans or elderlyI am also a veteran and just turned years old todayI would like to resolve this matter as quickly as possible but I do believe as a small business owner I am entitled to make a fair profit and to be paid for my services provided by myself or my employees.Thank You and I will await your response on this matter.Robert C B [redacted] /President
